  1. Straw man argument.... I did not compare the two programs. I compared the mindset and approach to the coach. Those are different, so let's at least have an honest debate. I absolutely love your passion and support. I am in no way wanting to make you lessen that. Just because I am at a 60% co fidence level in our coach, and you are at 100% indicates nothing more than we are both passionate fans and have a little different view about where we are right now. Not seeing any problem with that at all.
  2. You love CTA, and I respect that. I love him as a person, and like him as a coach....I do beleive in him. But not to a point where there are not clear questions. You have a habit of laughing at anybody that disagrees with you. It's condescending, especially when others have very valid points. You know who else is laughing? Everybody in the Big Ten when looking at our expectations vs results last year. Covid, injuries etc. ...fine But, we did not just struggle. The bottom dropped out man. Come on. We had a very good and exciting year. Followed by a disappointing bowl game and terrible following season. So yeah, overall it's to be determined. We have seen signs that CTA can make us very very good. We have also seen it can go south. So loving the man, hoping he proves that 1st season was legitimate while having some concerns at the same time is very reasonable. That hardly is eating our own. It is being a fan with a fair take on things, even if different than your "CTA is a boss" view. 🤷‍♂️
  3. That mindset lead to 20 years of mediocre basketball. I like CTA. But the drumming against a depleted Ole Miss team followed by the debacle least year..... I do not think having major doubt is Fairweather at all.
  4. Remember the year we debated those mask things that supposedly made it the same as training in high altitude? That was a doozy.
  5. Last time somebody told me to do that, I got slapped in the face.
  6. Putting those two players in the same sentence completely voids any credibility in the entire post
  7. I like the Santa hat story much better. Let's go with that version. Lol
  8. @Indykev making new friends with @eddy4iu
  9. No doubt we allow a lot more freedom during the off season.
  10. This is so awful to hear. Such a sad case of what could have been. Seriously, such sad news.
  11. And I seriously understand your view. I am not diminishing it at all. This is an area where we have different views. We could probably take a poll and have a split vote among the members as well. Being the off season, and ability to monitor ourselves, I just don't personally see a need to take action. Again, this does not mean I do not respect or consider the opposing view. 🍻
  12. Guys, if members did not engage in the conversations then they would not be prolonged. In the off season threads will be all over the place. We typically allow much more wiggle room during thos time of the year. I hear ya, but truth is we engage these topics and conversations or they would not stay alive. Seems we are being asked to protect us from ourselves more than from our visitors. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Come on guys. Keep the car talk in the car thread. 🏎
  14. There you go with unrealistic expectations. Those crimson colored glasses. 🙄 😜
  15. Keep grinding. I used to do a lot of personal training, kept 3 to 5 clients at a time. Kept myself in great shape etc. I let myself go a little, went from 175 to to 220lbs. About 14 months ago, I jumped back into the game and wanted to get in great shape again. Now that I am 50, I understand how you have to adjust the approach so much! I am down to 187 now, about 12 pounds to go. It has become so much more about nutrition, macros etc than exercising. I still lift 3 to 4 days per week. But much more selective on my exercise choices. I do almost zero lower body now. I do bike about 30 to 40 miles.per week (on a good week), and do the emasculating stairmaster as intense as I can. Lol Those things keep cardio and legs in check. And I go heavier on upper body lifting. Funny how I catch myself preaching to my innerself everyrhing I used to bark at.my clients. 😅 And the OHP is a great exercise for where ypu are. It is a must in your routine. 👍
  16. Yes. I think Illinois will take a step back this next season.
  17. I looked at all your shared posts there. The vids played for me, and everyrhing looked ok . Are they still not showing properly for you, or has it corrected?
  18. What do you meann "correctly"? Not at all? What are you seeing?
  19. Not always. Sometimes they have gained weight, gone bald etc. So it is not always easy.
  20. No, no, no. You are.missing.it. Auburn did not realign. Just the running back. So when he goes from 200 yards against Ole Miss, it will actually count as Big Ten stats. Something to do with the NIL or something. I don't know.
  21. Wow, talk about sneaking conference realignment in under the radar. Sneaky War Eagle!
