Not sure why you would think that. We had to replace a legendary coach and it has gone seamlessly. Oh....wait 😬

Stories That Make You Shake Your Head At The World
bluegrassIU replied to 5fouls's topic in Colonial Crester's Corner
I am making an executive decision without time to consult my fellow mods. But all.discussion on gun control just needs to stop. Nothing, except maybe abortion, can be more blatantly political. We need to get back to being HSN. Not FOX, CNN or MSNBC.. There are plenty of other outlets for that. Back to our roots. Not divisive topics Not relating to IU or sports. If my fellow mods and I decide to change that, I will back off from this edict. Lol But until then... Just no. This is going to go badly. -

Gang, We all need to.pause here. This thread is not going to go anywhere good. Let's avoid politics. We show keep tipping our toe in the water here, and it never goes well. Nobody.is going to change anybody else's views here, and this isn't the place to try anyways. Somehow we all decided the cc corner is the new political thread. Nothing productive is gonna happen here....especially considering this is a sports board. Not a current events or political board. -
There's a difference? 🤔

Outdoors - Fishing/Hunting/Hiking/Etc
bluegrassIU replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Colonial Crester's Corner
The hardest hike I did last week was only 1.5 miles. But took hours. It was almost all straight up elevation on big ass rocks. Lol The view at the top was worth it. I sat there, ate a packed lunch and just relaxed for a good 1.5 hours. But yeah, you are right. Not all lengths are the same (that's what she said). -

I did 35,000 steps on day one. I really pushed it, but I loved every second d of it. Day two was a little less taxing but still hiked several miles up and down some mountains. Acadia may be the most gorgeous place I have seen. It is one of those rare places that is actually better in person than even in pictures. It is breath taking and diverse. -

Just got back from a solo trip to Maine/Acadia. Did a lot of hiking and enjoyed a lot of solitude. Gonna share some pics. -
Stories That Make You Shake Your Head At The World

It's all so difficult in a free and open society. Mental health is such an issue. And so challenging. Even if monitored and detected early, at what point can anybody force certain treatment or actions taken? Often times we may know a person has major mental health issues. But not be aware just how bad the issues are until it is too late. Even when diagnosed, in a free society, how do we enforce any action deemed necessary to protect us from what a person MAY do without crossing major lines regarding liberty, freedom etc. These are such difficult topics. And many people keep losing their lives. I am good at listing all the challenges. I suck at having answers. -

I am not disagreeing or debating with you at all. I am just saying it can be viewed differently by different people. What some view as common sense, others may view as an overreaching government attacking the laws that are in place to protect them from said government. And, by the way, you leave me and my nuclear bomb storing basement alone Nothing to see here. -

Although I agree with most of what you have said, the 2nd ammendment was primarily put in place to allow the people to defend themselves against an over reaching aggressive government. It is the "reason" militias give as an excuse to stockpile the deadliest weapons possible. The actual purpose of the 2nd amenent makes it difficult to legislate any weapon away. Not saying g I agree either way. But that's the dynamics that will continue to foster massive debate and frustration. -

I hear you guys. Yes, we have talent. But all these answers provided....none include actullay having a lengthy, athletic wing player. They provide workarounds. It is not a must have. But I still think it is the biggest weakness at this point. -

I am definitely excited with all the returning talent and top level freshman coming in. But is anybody else concerned that we have not necessarily solved one glaring weakness? We still do nqt have that athletic wing that can defend at a high level, and create for himself on the offensive side. I know we expect TB to take a step forward. But until something is shown, I think it is our glaring weakness. Even more than perimeter shooting. -

So, I turned 50 in March. Today I noticed this random long hair sticking from the center of my forehead. WTF? I felt like a really ugly unicorn. -
