  1. Pritchard was an outstanding pick. I liked his game in college and I believe I touted the pick before he even played. Tenacious bulldog.
  2. Exactly. I definitely didn’t remember him. Stephen mentioned it during a broadcast and I looked it up and, sure enough, he was there.
  3. Do you remember his older brother playing at IU?
  4. We can beat Michigan State again this year. They’ve lost a lot and aren’t particularly good.
  5. Oh man. I missed where you said that. Very sorry to hear that at many levels. To have to suffer twice from it is a raw deal. Plus, I’m surprised the antibodies didn’t bail you out. Regardless, I hope you get better real soon and your family stays safe. I’ve told you before but I’m very impressed with the way you are a family man, including taking care of your parents.
  6. MLB’s website came out with a top 100 prospect list for 2021. Colson came in at 48, pretty darn good. If any spring ball can be played, he has time to go up or down. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/2021/draft/ https://www.mlb.com/prospects/2021/draft/colson-montgomery-695657
  7. Matt Weaver was just on the excellent Hoosier Huddle podcast. Weaver said he talked with Joe Strickland this week. Strickland really likes IU. Weaver said IU is in great shape and he likes IU’s chances.
  8. Sacramento did get rid of Divac and has a new GM. Their situation is a bit of a cluster but for their sake I hope the new GM is shrewd and starts building that team smartly. I feel bad for the long time fans of a pro team that can’t seem to do anything right. The Clippers used to be like that. The Pacers of the early to mid 1980s were a mess like that.
  9. We’ve always talked about 13 schollies and how that’s a lot. My sense is we have got room for Braden when we have that many schollies. I am fine with it if we have three point guards. Some guys bring value in terms of chemistry, being hard nosed, culture, etc. My point is we are perfectly fine finding this kid a spot if our staff likes him which they apparently do. Somebody had the quote that Archie didn’t care how tall he is. This is the type of kid where we will regret it if we don’t take him.
  10. I’m not worried about his weight. He’s a lanky kid. I bet 90% of us fit that when we were 16-17. It’s life. What I do like, his length, agility, skill set. And he and his dad sound great in interviews. That can be quite unlike some other kids and parents who completely lack self awareness. Bottom line, I like Gunn physically and in terms of attitude. I think he’d be great to land.
  11. Exactly. After a workout I’ve even convinced myself I look ripped. LMAO Then reality sets in. 😂
  12. I’d say top fifteen is pretty darn good, but no I wouldn’t consider him in the top ten at this stage. He’s an obvious level below the super elite guys. Lebron, Giannis, Doncic, Kawhi, Curry. There’s is a difference in kind from those guys to George. I’m not a George hater. I have no reason to be. That’s just how I think most people see him. My point is to be rated 15 is still very high. To think much higher just isn’t realistic.
  13. I just saw a ranking of the top players in the league and they still had him 15th. That’s still impressive. I’m not sure I could recreate the link but it may be ESPN or CBS.
  14. They shouldn’t be ranked. They are not remotely a good team. What’s worse, K hasn’t gotten through to them mentally. I wish IU could have played them in Durham.
  15. I watched that game. Hurt is a terrible defender, really weak and soft, and low IQ on offense. Other than those things, he’s great. I cannot emphasize enough how soft and bad he was on defense.
  16. Very sorry to hear about your job. Their loss. 2020 has been brutal. I’m glad you’ve been sound with your money and will be fine.
  17. Love the length, shooting, defense, and attitude. I hope we land him and I kind of think we will.
  18. Golden State will be one of the intriguing stories of the year. They still have Steph and Draymond and a top 3 coach in Kerr along with Pop and Spo. Steph is in the media warning everyone that he’s been ignited by the naysayers. Steph’s legacy can be impacted by how he carries them. He’s a brilliant shooter and a hall of famer. He really can help his resume by leading this squad to 50 wins.
  19. The football player we have who is an especially damn good basketball player is Javon Swinton. Stud.
  20. Interesting article on power rankings. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-power-rankings-lakers-reload-for-title-defense-bucks-add-talent-warriors-nets-enter-as-wild-cards/
  21. From what I’ve seen, Theis to me is a pretty solid backup big.
  22. I doubt anyone will agree with me but I don’t think Hayward is worth $30 M per year for four years. What confirms it is that the Hornets paid that. They are one of the most bumbling franchises in all of North American sports. As for Hayward, take into account his age and history, and that’s an ill advised contract from the Hornets perspective, IMO. We won’t need to look at that in two years and use hindsight. We can see it now, today. He is a nice player but he’s gone into folk hero status.
  23. So do the Celtics have $30 M to sign free agents now?
