Poor 1st half by JHS - both execution & decision making. Very little contribution from the bench in that half, too. Need better play from everyone in the second.

Not securing rebounds, lack of awareness on defense, and not getting much scoring outside 5 feet from the bucket is why we're behind.

Cynically it might be because the B10 wants the "Cinderella" team (and the crying NU kids when they get eliminated, lol).

Yeah, but as Bill Polian used to say "The past is prologue". We have a bit of PTSD after the Archie era. I think we fans are gradually gaining confidence that those (dark) days are behind us. The packline was an unmitigated failure but now our defense is good and allows us to win some "ugly" games (unlike in the past). Still, we are a team with weaknesses (as are all teams). TJD covers a lot of them up and JHS can too. I expect a couple of portal injections after the season to correct some of our needs.

I remember that game distinctly because I had to work OT and completely missed it. 🙁

Yep. He contributes when he's not scoring (unlike a couple of others who will remain nameless).

Kopp was essentially a no-show in the scoring column, but that was gooood "D" he played at the end.

Good question. As it is, Kopp just parks on the left side and holds his hands up for the ball - I don't know what magic is supposed to occur for him to get the ball but it sure ain't happening.

He's going to get "recruited over" if the right portal player is available. You only get so many chances toget your tish together.

While TJD is clearly the "engine", it seems we go as JHS goes - if he hits some shots and limits turnovers it bodes well for our chances. Also need Galloway & Kopp to continue their solid play.

Just think - what if OSU moved on hiring CAM before we did. Both programs would be very different today.

This was the most involved I've seen Armond Hill during a game.

I think we can say we've finally shed all the stench of the CAM era.
