So, what’s your point? That because other guys are knuckleheads that should excuse Watson?
-
His game will be the next one v Nebraska. ”Omaha!”

I refuse to root for them and never will for signing Watson

Big Ten Basketball 2023-2024

Added to this is NIL. Sponsors could stop paying. Shannon could sue the university for loss of income opportunities. Lots of murky areas here -

I believe in innocent until proven guilty. In these cases, the accused are not going to be in situations where they could victimize someone else by playing. So, yes they should. In saying that, the program they play for will have to have the backbone to withstand the outcry that will inevitably come -

The punter from Buffalo was run out of the league based on false allegations. Agree that due process has to play out. -

'23-'24 College Hoops Across the Nation(NOT IU!)
Steubenhoosier replied to rico's topic in General Basketball Discussion
Again, if you read my follow up post, I am not considering the entire season, just one game. BGleas chose to make my comment be more than it was. As far as my “get over yourself “ comment… I found his post to be very similar to what he and others have been complaining about in regards to attempts by posters to “shut down “ negative comments, only from the other perspective. IMO his post came across as really aggressive, borderline asshole-ish, and not what I would expect from a mod. -

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. I expect every IU team to be competing for conference titles and making the occasional deep run in the tournament. Not a black and white world. -
Congratulations Sawatch. You don’t say if this is your first or not, but this has to be an amazing time for you and your wife. Can’t imagine a better Christmas gift than this.

Not sure what any of those games have to do with tonight’s game, against Yale, that they are struggling in. God forbid that someone make an observation that goes against the narrative. Yeah, we’ve struggled, multiple times. Other teams have as well. Get over yourself -

3 minutes gone in the second half and Kansas trails Yale by 1. You mean we aren’t the only team that struggles with mid-majors sometimes? -
no disagreement here. All I am saying is that some were mentioning other programs whose coaches leave their starters in to run up the score v an undermanned opponent, and CMW didn't feel the need to do so last night. I applaud him and glad that more guys got in the game for more than mop up minutes.
-
I did the same in my other league. I have also struggled with TE in that league, and left Juwan Johnson on the bench for another 10 points or so.
-
Clearly, CMW is not following you metrics guys, as he did not leave the starters in to run up the score. 🙂 I thought that almost everyone contributed last night. Agree that Banks is a conundrum. Seems to have not figured out how to slow down and let the game come to him. In his defense, on defense all our guards were defending guys who had more quickness, it seemed. I don't think any of our guys kept up with their guards. For those who think Gunn shouldn't be playing as much...I thought he did some good things. Had a nice assist right off the bench. Made a jumper or two. His length on defense is a real disrupter. If we can make even half the 3's we made last night, that will help this team immensely.

2024 QB Tyler Cherry Commits to Indiana

Can't open the Twitter feed, so not sure what this alludes to, but Nitro Tuggle from Northwood signed with Georgia. 4 star wide receiver. We have to start keeping these higher rated in-state guys.
