  1. As I said, you can't keep saying you want something while overlooking the reason schools like Purdue and Wisconsin got where they are...
  2. At Indiana, yeah...At Purdue or Wisconsin it would have gone a bit longer...And we keep saying we want a program like theirs...
  3. Some seem to think if you disagree and present facts or an alternate opinion in rebuttal, it's somehow an "insult"... If Mike Woodson is the coach next year, and we have another year like this, I'd be very much on board with him being let go...I don't care if people agree with that or not...It's an opinion formulated on what I see as the facts and fairness... Simple as that...
  4. OK, then...What IS the criteria? I'm just not buying that metrics, or the "it isn't that we lose, it's HOW we lose." All coaches are going to be judged on their won/loss record...I don't care how ugly it is on either side...A win is a win, and a loss is a loss...No coach is going to get fired for "winning ugly." Do you honestly think we're going to bring in a coach that will have us in the Final 4 immediately? Here's a list that addresses just that...The favored sons like Pearl (1 FF in 20 years), Beard (1 in 8 years), and Musselman (never been in 9 years). On average, it takes 10.5 years for a coach to reach the Final 4... So I'm just not real sure on what y'all want?
  5. To be clear, the reason I thought CAM should get another year was the COVID deal, the fact that by all accounts we would have gone to the tournament that year, and that $10 million dollar roadblock... But I didn't know money was so cheap And saying Dolson isn't going to fire Woody right now has more to do with how that'll look to the donors/trustees, than the money part of it...
  6. Y'all have short memories...Miller had the "generational player" and finished 12-17 and 7-12 in the Big 10 in his last year...
  7. Again, though, you ignore the first 2 years and why we terminated Miller... Hey, I'll be the first to say this year has been disappointing and hasn't met what I expected of the team. And that's fine. Any coach can have an off year...Beard, Pearl, Musselman have all had bad seasons...it's the way college basketball has always worked...Kids graduate/leave and new kids take their place... We always look at Wisconsin, Purdue, and Michigan State (while holding our noses) and wonder why we can't be like them...One word...We don't have stability. And firing up the coaching carousel every time we have a bad game isn't a recipe for success....
  8. Facts are facts, and no matter how many times someone presents them to you, you ignore them... You dispute that Mike Woodson knows more about basketball than anyone on here? Really? Because that was the only statement I made about his knowledge. And that's kind of undeniable...As for posting off topic, show me where...Dissenting is not "off topic." You don't want a debate...You want absolute agreement...You're not going to get it here without rolling out a few facts to back them up... If you don't "give two shits" about my opinion, then why even read anything I post?
  9. Mike Woodson is NOT going to quit, or retire for that matter. I think some of you overlook that the guy got off of back surgery and 6 weeks later led IU to a Big 10 championship and was the Big 10 PoY. That's not to say, as @Artesian_86 iterated, that because he's "IU Royalty" he shouldn't be canned if the situation warrants (it doesn't), but it does show a toughness that you can't overlook. He's mentally tough and he's a competitor...Quitting isn't in him Why did we fire Archie Miller? Because he could not beat Purdue or get to the NCAA tournament. Yet we get a guy who accomplishes both of those tasks in his first two years, and because we have one down year, we're ready for Dolson to go back to the donors, ask for another $12.5 million dollars to cover what would be essentially admitting he made a mistake. He's not going to do that.
  10. Your reading needs a little work... "Some of you" which means you (bitching about Woody getting into Galloway) and includes the people you follow around and agree with... Your goal seems to be to quiet anyone who has an independent thought outside of the current mob mentality...And you'll fail...Guarantee you that...
  11. I think you're leading Pickett's charge
  12. From the penthouse to the outhouse...71...
  13. It just goes to show how petty some of you have become in this quest to get Mike Woodson fired...Worried about insignificant stuff like who he gets into with no context, or where Armond Hill sits on the bench...Or "partying" 🤣 after a loss...Talk about exhausting... But, following seems to fit you best, so you go...
  14. I appreciate it... Bloods in the water though... And the sharks aren't into any interpretation that doesn't involve canning 🙂
  15. Yeah, I saw that too... But I've seen him lay into a few players this year... Not like he reserves it for just a few... A lot of people call it coaching...
  16. If you call this "ripping" a kid... Woodson: "We're young, missing our senior point guard, trying to play a freshman at point guard. It's tough. You know, Gallo struggled tonight trying to play the point with his six turnovers. It's a lot that comes in play with that. We played well enough this year in spurts, but not well enough to complete ball games. That's what makes it frustrating."
  17. Word around the campfire was he was skipping classes because he'd lost his starting role... Two small ball dominant guards wasn't working...
  18. When: Saturday, February 24th 12:00 PM EST Where: Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, Pa TV: BTN Our Hoosiers roll into University Park looking to avenge a home loss earlier this month to the Nittany Lions. First year coach Mike Rhoades has PSU at 13-14 overall, and 7-9 in conference play. The Lions are coming off of a thrilling last minute victory over Illinois in their former venue, The Rec Hall. As we all know, leading scorer Kanye Clary was dismissed from the team last week. Ace Baldwin the 6'0 senior transfer that followed Rhodes from VCU now leads the way. Fellow senior transfer (Georgetown) Qudus Wahab mans the 5 spot, while junior transfers Nick Kern (also followed Rhodes from VCU) Zach Hicks (Temple) and D'Marco Dunn (North Carolina) round out the starting 5. In our last game, Baldwin, Hicks, Dunn, and Wahab all scored in double figures, but 6'4 sophomore Jameel Brown's 14 points off the bench on 4-5 from 3 was the dagger...Senior transfers Puff Johnson (North Carolina), Leo O'Boyle (Lafayette), and 6'10 sophomore Demetrius Lilley also saw minutes in that game. In the last couple of games, Rhodes has also used 6'11 sophomore transfer (Miami) Favour AIre (pronounced Eye Ray), and 6'5 senior transfer (Kansas City) Rayquandis Mitchell, who had a couple of big buckets against Illinois. Always tough on the road in the Big 10, as Purdue found out against Ohio State. This will be no different. We're going to have to play at our best to be in it. I know right now, our confidence is at a low point, but hopefully we can get off to a good start and compete. Our defense needs to be much better than it was in the first game, and we once again have to win the rebounding battle...Let's get back on the winning track here... GO HOOSIERS!
  19. My best score ever... 3
  20. When Goode took that 3 and missed with 2 minutes left and like 25 seconds still on the shot clock, I was wondering what the heck he was doing
  21. They were down 9 early... Not much D being played... Maybe playing in The Rec Hall rather than Bryce Jordan is throwing them both off...
  22. Good article on where MLB might grant expansion franchises
