But if his ass is still on the bench while his body is out in the floor... -

That would be some trick if Miller did and his ass didn't -

Newsflash 2! -
He a good defender already...probably not quite to Mike Woodson's standards, but he's got good lateral quickness and is physically strong. Great court vision and awareness. Good passer, with capacity to be a great passer. He can get to the basket and finish through contact. The 2 most impressive things about him, at least to me, are his leadership and his mid-range game. He's a "natural" leader...the kind people just gravitate to. His teammates at Montverde all followed his lead...even when Skyy Clark was in the game with him. As far as the mid-range game goes, he's not quite as good at it as Malaki Branham, but he's close... The only thing missing is the outside shot...his form is good...I think all it's going to take is a lot of hours in the gym hoisting them up... If anyone wants to see for themselves, he's playing in the Jordan Classic 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 15 at Chicagoโs Hope Academy. It'll be televised nationally on ESPN.

UNC and Duke should always be good with the talent they haul in on a yearly basis. 16 top 100 kids between them this year, and you know both are destination spots for portal kids when either team has a need. Their "problems" are getting the talent to play as a team and not as 5 talented individuals... Coach K has done it many times, and I think Hubert Davis has done about as well as can be expected this year...

I do too, but didn't he entertain going to Mizzou a few years back? I think if the right program came calling, he'd seriously consider it...

Unbelievable to me that there are a lot of Boiler faithful screaming for Painter's scalp... I despise Purdue, but if they think they can get a better coach than Matt in there, well good luck... I honestly think he gave Ivey too much latitude, but he's a solid coach and runs a good program... Be careful what you wish for...

I guess today's kids need to understand that with this "free agency" created by the portal comes with repercussions on their end as well...

You still have Duncomb...maybe they think he can develop into a better option...or as was mentioned in the other thread, Coach Woodson doesn't think a post up big, especially in a back up role, is absolutely necessary in today's game. But the portal has changed the game so much...better option out there?
-
Very well could be... He was also one of The Windy City 5, and didn't play through coach's decision in a few games. The last 4 games he got 4 or 5 minutes a game, so I don't think Coach Woodson was begging him to stay.

You're right...Omoruyi made big strides from last year... Eduardo Andre from Nebraska (in limited minutes) reminded me of the Omoruyi of last year...and he's in the portal...
