If Rabjohns post was all true, that speaks more to overall integrity, and most certainly does speak about Fife the person. The rub is, none of us knows if it's true or not...

You're pre-judging the whole thing... I don't know if what Rabjohns posted is the truth...no one except Rabjohns and Fife (with possibly a few others) do for sure... But even if it is true, I wouldn't be the the habit of crapping on a guy's overall reputation unless the relationship was bad...

Rabjohns gave a tease on the radio show, and then I think had to back it up to retain credibility...that's one scenario... Another is there was some animosity between Rabjohns and Fife somewhere along the line and it was a "get even" deal... Any way you slice it I think the mere fact that he took the post down is at least a sliver of evidence that he regretted it in the first place...at least I'd like to believe that... But it's impossible to put toothpaste back in the tube...it was out there, people saw it, and the damage to Dane's reputation by that post alone is a sad commentary on how information works these days...

Rabjohns may have stepped on his own doker here too... I wonder how many current IU assistants are going to trust Rabjohns now? He did a hatchet job on one...think the rest will ever confide in him or give him an inside scoop?

With friends like that, who needs enemies? Rabjohns took it down, but I'd think it'll be a while before Fife is considered for an assistant position at any school, and even longer for a head coaching gig. The statement on politics alone would give most administrators pause. You want a divided team? Inject politics into it, particularly in today's climate. And that goes for ANY kind of team. Believe me, I know... Rabjohns aside, I think it was just a long time NBA coach and a long time college coach not seeing eye to eye on a lot of subjects, and not just basketball. I also believe the NIL comments would have ensured which side of the fence Dolson landed on. Good luck to Dane...I think he's going to need it.

It isn't Dane I'd be worried about in an appearance on Dakich's show 🙂

My own belief is that Dane will have his "day in court" on Dakich's radio show... I just hope it doesn't turn into a Woody bashing exercise...but I'm not hopeful...

During the Mike Davis era, John Treloar was the associate head coach, which I would translate to "top assistant." ...and I believe I've heard that term applied to other assistants as well...

I'm saying he wasn't ready in more ways than one...Maybe he should have waited...but being that he didn't, he certainly should have red shirted that first year...

I don't think we're really even disagreeing... You sad... I think he potentially had the talent, he just didn't have the physical or mental maturity yet to be in a big time college basketball program. And I think the high rating made red shirting him almost impossible without pushback from all sides...fans, family...would it have been the best move for him? I thinks so, but we'll never know... You'd see the court vision and quickness in spurts, so I do think he was a very talented player, he just didn't have the consistency that maturity brings... And I think when he makes his choice, it'll be close to home (Louisville wouldn't surprise me)...and that will be good for him...

First, good luck to Khristian. I truly hope he goes somewhere he gets to shine and does so. And I think he will... But he certainly wasn't ready basketball wise, and seeing some of the disturbing things he put on Instagram, I think he was even less prepared life wise when he reclassified... I'm not sure where to lay that blame, but he got bad advice all the way around on that one...

I had my (electric) hot water heater replaced by Home Depot and I had to pay in full when I picked the water heater I wanted... installation and all...

I'll probably make my decision in about a month." 4 Big 10 schools, but not us...which I'm ok with...
