That is the thing is that it won't happen because nobody cares about those GLeague teams and have no affiliation with them.  The reason the fans spend a lot of money for college sports is that they have a passion for that college program.

I wouldn't expect that a TV network is going to do it either.

I think if the money is there to attract the talent, fans will come and get behind G-League teams.  NBA summer league in Vegas has become very popular.  Maybe it is because it is in Vegas, I don't know but I could see a real Summer League working when the NBA is not playing.   Also, not sure the NBA wants to have a product that might take away from the WNBA.

If those players were playing in the G League would they be mentioned on those shows.  Would CBS pay billions of dollars to show Fort Wayne Mad Ants

Let's say if the players on Murray St was the top players in college and they were on Duke instead.  Those same players would get as much pub as the guy have played for Duke on the past.

If CBS or any TV network payed Billions to show G-League games, the players salary and TV time will go up drastically.    I would expect they would get the top players out of high school and market them just fine.

Agree to disagree. Kopp is better defensively on the perimeter, he turns it over at a much lower rate, he spaces the floor better (despite his percentage, part of it is perception to the defense) and he fouls less.

Again, I fully agree we need an upgrade at that 2nd wing spot, but just completely disagree that JG is that upgrade.

I don't know.  JG is young raw player skills wise.  Whose to say he won't work hard and make a big improvement. Based on this past season you are probably right.  IMO, Kopp is what he is. JG has quite a ceiling if he puts in the time.

  4. I'm partial to Choctaw stadium formerly Globe Life Park formerly the Ballpark in arlington.  Unfortunately, the rangers play across the street in the new airconditioned stadium.

I haven't been to PNC but the the stadium the giants play in is as good or better than any.  Used to be Pac Bell now maybe it is Oracle.

  5. I think Devin Booker is the most disrespected Superstar in the NBA.   IMO, he'd be a very worthy MVP candidate and caliber player.

I'd like to see a Grizzlies/wolves matchup. in Round 1.  Not sure the Griz win that.  Mavs are in the 3 seed slot and won 3 of 4 from Griz.  I like griz and think they are good but they don't worry me anymore than the Wolves from a Mavs perspective if the Mavs find a way to get to 2nd round and are in the 2,3,6,7 bracket.  Of course everything is subject ot change with the seedings from 3 on in the West right now.

I wonder how hard it will be to trade Brogdon and Turner since they are injured a lot. Turner has missed like the last 25 games so I wonder how that will effect his value.

I think the Mavs would like to have turner. I don't it will be hard to move either.  Would the Mavs take the Mavs first rounder and THJ or Bertans for turner.  Some matching salary has to come back and those 2 salaries are a match.  Powell, burke and Sterling Brown are expiring contracts in summer of 23.

  7. I have been really impressed with Griffin on Duke now that he past his early season injury.  Maybe the pacer won't need a wing and prefer a big with their pick but could Griffin, Duarte, and Haliburton be the future 1,2 and 3 for this team.  Kid has high BBIQ, is really athletic and looks to have the makings of possessing a lethal 3 point shot. He's 6'6" with a 7'0" wingspan.  I'd put him above Ivey.

Harden wants to go to the Sixers?

I think he wants to leave Brooklyn.  I guess not everything worked out for him and he has to overcome some adversity playing with Kyrie and KD.   Sixers make sense because they have a big talker GM who is not very good but wants to be in the headlines and Ben Simmons.  I'm sure he'd prefer the Lakers. If the Kiings would trade Haliburton for Sabonis then you'd think he was maybe on the table for Simmons at some point during the negotiations that have seemingly occurred since summer. If no simmons trade occurs and Philly comes up short again eventually Embiid will tire of the situation.

  9. I can't wait for the MVC/OVC challenge.  UE and USI can headline the matchups.

I can't see UE dropping from D1.  The school may be small but they have that Arena that seats 10k. Thought Lickliter might of fit but seems not to be the case.  There are 2 Millers and maybe Mack available. Maybe Marshall has completed all his anger Management training and his wife graduated from AA. He dominated the MVC at Wichita.

If everything is equal yes and I would take Ivey over Holmgren.  I am also the one that the Pacers shouldn't pick a big white guy that can't play like we have seen many times over the years, Haskins, Hansborough, Plumlee, Leaf, Goga.

Apparently nobody thought the Joker could play.  He went 41st. I don't think the Pacers had pick that year.

  11. Does this mean another new arena in Evansville? I went to USI when it was ISUE.  What kind of facility do they now have.   I've been gone for so long and other than watching the Pearl led title games, don't know much about what is going on there.

Evansville did pretty good at least through the 90s.  Even a Sweet 16.  Don't know if USI can match that.  I guess they have their 1 DIV 2 title vs Evansville's 5.  I realize there is a lot of history for the Aces to draw from but USI in the Sweet 16?   Never say never as Tom Brady says.

  12. Being big Mavs fan,  RC loves Halliburton.  They tried to real hard to move up and draft him the year he was in the draft.

I think it hard for RC to let Sabonis go but Sabonis just didn't seem all that happy.   RC really likes to run the Pick and Roll.  I disagree that Sabonis doesn't fit what RC wants to do.  Before Powell on the Mavs tore his achilles he was thriving in the PnR with Luka.

The Pacers are clearly rebuilding or reshaping the roster around younger players. Warren doesn't fit that mold and is on an expiring contract. They are likely shopping him to see if they can get a team to take his contract so that they can have his bird rights in FA this summer in return for a pick or a younger player.

Seems that they weren't all in on younger players as they had interest in McCollum but that ship has now sailed.  From a Mavs perspctive, they could use him if he could get on the court this year to replace Hardaway's scoring.  I wouldn't give a first because he could walk for nothing plus they can't trade their 1st until 2025.. A couple of seconds maybe. If the Pacers are moving on from Sabonis and Turner, Powell would match his salary and is a good bench player and vet to mix in with young guys for a year.  RC has a lot of history with Powell.

I think the 49ers did this in regular season but does anyone know if the Bills could have just held or even tackled the Chiefs  (Kelce and Hill) at line of scrimmage at end of regulation final drive? Just take the penalty but get clock to run down?

That final 13 seconds is going to be remembered and referenced in Bills history forever.

Man the Bills rack em up history wise. The Music City mircle happened with 16 seconds.

  15. Seems like the Broncos job would be quite attractive.

I always thought Wentz was pretty solid but he always gets hurt. He doesn't seemed all that well liked.  I watched some of the Jags game yesterday and he had no mobility at all. Did he play on bad feet all year.  What are Colts fans thoughts on Sam ehlinger.  I have watched him from his Frosh year in HS.  He was 4 year starter at Westlake HS in austin  and then for Texas. So playing on the big stage is normal for him.   He is quick, fast and strong and could bring some mobility to the QB position.  He was successful in HS running the ball but he improved as passer a lot while at Texas.  He is loaded with leadership qualities, football IQ and is a class act. Maybe coach speak but Reich seemed to notice right away he is special claiming he has the it factor. I don't know if he will pan out as a starting NFL QB but I would not bet against it and he probably grades out pretty good compared to this years QB class.  He's like maybe Chad Kelly on the field but mentally 180 degrees opposite.
