it took Victor O till late january his sophomore year to start turning it on. We need to give banks and Gunn a few more games and minutes to prove themselves. Not saying they will be Victor but they can definitely become rotational players. Time will tell, but 2 games in second year not enough to write them off

Remember OG only had a nice run at the end of his Freshman year and the tournament game against UK that propelled him. Gets hurt early sophomore year and becomes first round pick. His numbers at IU weren’t real impressive. If ware and An MM shoot good from 3 and continue to get better they will get draft on potential more so than the results of what IU does

This is spot on. Reneau has a soft touch. if he continues to develop the 3pt shot he definitely become a prospect. Probably not a first round but a second round. He fits the modern NBA game. Needs to continue to work on exploding of the floor

Walker had a rough game last night. But we need this kid. He has something none of the other big guys have. He hit the quickness and athleticism to guard some of the bigger 4 guys in the big ten Cupps played great last night. He will have his ups and downs but kid will be a player. Not the most talented but he will compete with anybody.

One thing to like about this team is multiple guys can score. We might have 5 guys average double figures or be very close as the season goes on. Going different leading scores on a nightly basis.

This team is going to fun to watch most of the big guys have range. Teams are going to have guard them outside. That will make a bug difference over last years team. Drive lanes should open up. plenty of guys can score in the post Gunn and Banks just need to keep improving. we don’t need them to play 25 minutes or score a lot. just need quality minutes Cupps just needs to play hard kid is a baller. I always like Geronimo but walker is a major upgrade

I like the Friday night games. Gives a IU a chance to play to a national tv audience. Not much to choose from for sports fans. I know a lot of the recruits are playing but at least they can catch part of the game. I have a feeling the attendance is better for a Friday night game as opposed to a 12:00 Saturday game.

Goodman and the other guys take was fair laughed a little at the reasoning IU and Woodson was stuck in the 80s because we have 3 guys playing major minutes that considered big guys that can’t shoot is why we will not win in the list season. But Purdue is so good and was so good last year. They did acknowledge that none of them are slow big men. None of that guys have to be great shooters just have to make some and pull the defender out. All 3 should be able to be a threat from 15 and have the ability off the bounce and the post. This team is very interesting. Every one seems to forget that San Diego state wasn’t a great 3pt team. This team has more scoring threats and balance than last years team. That makes them more dangerous. Interior defiant rebounding will be a question. But both could be better than last year because of length and quantity of guys. Johnson and Galloway might be the best defensive backcourt in the conference.

Ware might play and guard the 4 while Malik guards the 5. Malik is stronger and ware looks to be more mobile. It also allows a lot of length to come over on double teams if Malik needs help

Last year bates definitely better than Gunn can Gunn be better as a sophomore thane sophomore Bates? No reason Gunn doesn’t become a better a defender and start knocking down some shoots. This coaching staff has proven that players get better from year to year. Bates improved defensively, he just struggled making shots. Both Banks and Gunn have some ability and need playing time to prove it. You have to balance recruiting freshman and the portal. If Gunn and banks don’t get playing time they will likely leave. If this staff can’t develop players like that, they will be in the portal every year trying to find 6 to 8 players.

We do need a scorer on the perimeter. But that could be a transfer guard. Adding a scorer to go with Johnson on the perimeter and the front court we have certainly has the ability to be competitive

This I agree with not sure they can win the big ten out right. But will be fun to watch and grow as team. Never know com late March. Maybe win 3 or more games
