If I were Dakich, I wouldn't want to run into Mike Woodson anytime soon...
Why should Dan be worried? According to him Woody is fat and old.

Well DD is totally going off on the players today. He said this is the dumbest team he had seen at IU and only one guy on the team knows how to play the game. He said he hopes most of the players leave because you can't win with this group.
Well he's not wrong. They should be playing in their jock straps.

I put this in the game thread, but thought it might fit better here:
Big game for a ton of reasons!
One kind of under the radar is that a win tonight guarantees 12 is the most losses IU can have after the BTT.
It also gives Rutgers their 13th loss and unless they went on a wild ride in the BTT, it ensures they'll have at least 14 losses. So essentially we eliminate Rutgers from the bubble with a win.
Michigan also already has 12 losses with 2 more regular season games to go and the BTT.
I know the committee doesn't specifically look at conference teams head-to-head, but we also know most bracketologists have IU, Rutgers and Michigan lumped pretty close together, and that it's tough for teams to make it with 13 losses, let alone 14.
We do ourselves a ton of favors tonight with a win.
You can say that again!

DraftKings take:
- Rutgers at Indiana: The Scarlet Knights need to find at least one more big win, but the Hoosiers can’t afford to drop this one as they’re very much on the bubble themselves. This isn’t quite a loser-leaves-town scenario, but whomever falls likely needs to find at least one more Quad 1 win.
If IU would lose, PU would obviously be a Quad 1 opportunity (but an extreme long shot) and MI on a neutral court would be Quad 1. Rutgers wouldn't. So under the scenario of losing tonight (and not winning at Mackey), IU would have to beat MI in an 8/9 matchup or beat Rutgers in an 8/9 and then knock off a one-seed WI.
So basically given our history in the BTT tonight is a must win?

Rutgers is a play in game. Winner is probably in, loser is likely out unless they make. BTT run.
I think we need 2 more wins unless it’s 1 win at Purdue (not happening). I hope we don’t get UM in the B1G tournament we’ll get smoked.

I would say unbelievable but when we were up 25 I said in the game thread I was still nervous and I was. Just another W
You mean you guys don't record the game and start watching later on if we're gonna win? Weird.

In my inner circle I started taking bets 3 games ago that we'd win3 more game. The last game and this one and our opener in the NIT.
Something that has stood out to me over the course of the year is that we play some of our best ball with TJD on the bench. It gives me a lot of hope for next year. Race will be a Big Ten MVP contender, Johnson will be more consistent and Geronimo will be a great sidekick roll player. Bates will finally show up and we'll have Galloway. The additions will be the difference in a similar record and a record that should've and could've been this year.
Yep. Sure fire addition by subtraction. It hasn't been wrong these past 20+ years.

I can't wait for the MVC/OVC challenge. UE and USI can headline the matchups.
I can't see UE dropping from D1. The school may be small but they have that Arena that seats 10k. Thought Lickliter might of fit but seems not to be the case. There are 2 Millers and maybe Mack available. Maybe Marshall has completed all his anger Management training and his wife graduated from AA. He dominated the MVC at Wichita.
I think Crean would be a good fit if he's not ready to go back to broadcasting.

If Lanardi knows what he is talking about he says IU needs 3 more wins and that was before the Maryland. That included the BTT
The only way I can see a 9-11 IU team getting in is if we win 2 in the BTT or one of those 9 wins is at Mackey.

Please please please don't lay a turd!!!!
We'll beat Minny in a blowout and then lay a turd against Snookie U at home on Senior night in what would probably be a play in game. That's the Indiana way!

Unfortunately, Vlad has nothing to lose. He's in his mid 70's and is a hot head. He saw a weakness (I wont say it) and made his move. He's wanted Ukraine for years. I just hope we have the balls to do what is necessary if he goes any further......
Taiwan will be next.

Any word on Galloway, Phinisee or Lander? I like our chances too, but I like them better if we're not having to use Parker Stewart as a back-up PG and have some overall depth at guard...
Is Lander alright? There was a post on Btownbanners that he had put out a cry for help on Tik Tok and it had been reported to the University.

I wonder if there's truth to what's being said on Btownbanners that Woody only listens to NBA guys and not Fife and Matta and that Fife might be moving on after the season. Would make a lot of sense.

We lost 5 straight Knight's first year. The first of those 5 was to Northern ILL by 14. He also lost to Ohio that season. Two MAC schools.
I would assume that team was aslo more talented then the one we have now. His first year he had Downing and Wright.
And he was 31 years old then. Woody is about 64. We can't afford any on the job training.
