Love it and glad we're on the road next year.

AZ is really good. At least top 3 nationally, maybe #1? Would like to see them go up against Purdue.
Did they finally ditch the pack line?

The point was we haven't beaten a single good team all year and between our 2 losses one is likely an NIT team and the other a very possible bubble team.
We have home games against OSU, PU, UM, and UI. We likely need to win 3 of those 4 imo.

Unfortunately you are right and maybe a little charitable to them.
Syracuse looking very mediocre against a garbage Georgetown team as well.

Nebraska and Wisconsin both looking terrible.

I told everyone that long ago. I was called a hater.

These guys are abysmal. I told you this would happen though. Woodson is a joke!

Wondering about Fife's impact on this game and what he can bring to the table with his experience against UW. Anyone remember how MSU has played at UW in Fife's time there?
I sure hope Fife has been in his ear. Basketball isn't just Basketball and you can't just roll the ball out and play everyone the same. You have to adjust or you're going to get your ass beat. That's especially true when you're playing a Wisconsin, Syracuse, Virginia, etc. I still doubt Woody has figured that out.

I'm just LOL'ing because sometimes I wonder: How warped is our fanbase's perception that games in Madison are unbalanced.
And those stats.....haha.....it's not warped at all!!!!
We always get rolled there. Even Cody who was one of the smartest and most talented players we've had was no match. Trayce will have 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes. Guaranteed.

I still have nightmares of this game. We got flat out hosed. Cost us a tourney birth.

I'd be shocked if we won but we almost certainly have more talent. Hopefully Fife and Matta are helping Woody prepare. This will be nothing like an NBA game.

Purdue very well could be undefeated when they visit Bloomington.
They'll lose at Illinois imo.

Did we get any word on Lander? Kind of unusual that he got zero minutes. Think he was the only guy on the team who was not injured or suspended who did not see any time. Was wondering if he is banged up or under the weather.
The bench is a hell of a motivator.

Solid win other than the first 12 mins or so. Some of the worst IU basketball I've ever seen there. But we recovered nicely.
Wisconsin currently rolling Marquette. That game will tell us a lot.

Slow starts have been our mo for over 20 years and I don't see that changing under Woody. We'll probably get behind by 10 at halftime but roar back in the second half and win.

Idk about anyone else's thoughts or feelings but i was extremely disappointed we came out and got embarrassed in the first half. To take solace in the 2nd half and some other things that transpired to keep us in the game, or the shooting percentages, fine by y'all. Whatever, that should not have been a loss. That's one of the worst Syracuse teams in 2 decades. The ACC has basically gotten used to their defense and they will finish 7th or 8th in a weak ACC. Its nowhere near as long and athletic as years past. They will have a shooters chance when they are boiling hot from 3 like they were in the first half. Bit that was a very disappointing loss, thankfully some positives came to light in the end.
The ACC is used to the zone. Woody is not. He's been in the NBA for 40 years and while he's probably an excellent coach he surely believes you play everyone the same which is very naive. It was a very important learning experience for him and the team. At the Kohl Center likely will be as well.
College basketball is vastly different than the NBA. It's why guys like Tyrone Lue and Quinn Snyder can be successful in the league but would be epic failures at the college level.

I'll give you St.John's but Syracuse isn't very good. They will finish in the middle/bottom of that league.
Didn't they return all 5 starters from a S16 team?

Must win imo. IU +20 I predict.

Lucky for us he has a lifetime contract. If not they'd go out and lock up Holtmann or Drew.
