Princeton is gonna be a sneaky good win here. They beat a ranked Oklahoma team and lost to only 3 to UCLA who just took it to UCONN women which was there only loss before this IU loss

I’m curious how different we are if Newton is healthy. Not sure if he was ready to contribute and not sure if he was a 3 pt threat but I do know he is an aggressive freakish athlete with no fear and we need that. He seems like a kid who would go get us a backup and not think twice.

1000% I had to do that with my current team I coach.

I can tell you as a head coach it’s my responsibility to make adjustments as necessary but also listen to my assistant coach/coaches/players if they have adjustments and decide. The issue is Woodson self admittedly isn’t a zone guy but the issue is your team currently isn’t a man to man team. They struggle badky with it and as head coach it’s his responsibility to put them in a position of strength. IMO his man to man has been an issue since he’s been here. He needs to be the one to figure out what he wants this primary defense to be. If it’s man to man then great but he needs to work for hours upon hours upon hours until they figure it out.

Someone commented on Twitter I believe that he shoots differently pre game compared to in game. Just curious if anyone has seen this live and what they see as different in the two

I didn’t get to watch the end of the game. I recorded it but of course it ran long and I forgot to record the next show afterwards so my recording ended. What zone did they go to? Anyone think they’ll now consider going to this more often since they suck at the other defense?

I mean Michigan state used to lose like 5 games early on against tough competition then by end of season they were like a 2-3 seed every year. This teams potential comes down to will the newcomers learn to not over sag on defense and start stopping the three. If they can do that then by end of year we will be just like Michigan state.

Yes there is no creativeness to the play they no exactly what’s coming becoming as I tell my players you have to move with purpose. This play no one is moving with purpose.

I’m a basketball coach and even I don’t understand this three man weave. I understand it’s to create motion and use screens but it’s such a bad play and hardly ever truly works for years now.

I disagree on Walker! To me if you punish banks and Gunn for not playing defense you have to punish Walker too. He took bad shots and rushed everything he did. To me it has zero to do with utilizing him better it is more he has to know his strengths and do what he was brought here to do!

The thing is Gunn has to be able to do all of the other things to get PT I think if he gets the PT he will start knocking down 3s. When we went down 6 Woodson got on him specifically really good

I think they are holding back a little and experimenting with different positioning on the floor ETC. Now if it’s the same against FGCU then maybe a little concerning but I don’t think they have their full offense implemented yet

Yes it amazes me how IU got punished the way they did but the NCAA let others pass. I wish there was a committee that would review NCAA and look into everything they let go that they shouldn’t have.
