This recruit just so happened to make a comment that he wants to feel extra love and his comments seem to make it seem like that hasn’t happened necessarily. But I absolutely agree with your points

I don’t think Woody putting in extra effort on a recruit is begging anyone. Everyone says they want big time recruits well this recruit is telling you what he prefers and if IU truly wants him then this is what needs to be done.

I’d say the time is now! If Woodson would’ve went full court press from beginning it would be done already IMO! Each recruit is different and if this wasn’t known about Boogie then that’s on our staff for not figuring that out. Now Kentucky and Alabama have same chance to put full court press on.

If this is a subtle way of committing I freaking love it.

Yes I don’t disagree but to me you need a 4 year guy and a 1-2 year guy. Obviously Cupps and Fland fit that but Cupps and Givens don’t and if Givens is cool with a possibke bench role then great. Assuming Cupps would win the job.

Here’s my concern with Givens. Him and chop are pretty much same player and with their size I just don’t see them playing together on court at same time. Cupps just has that dog in him so I can see him starting next year. Cupps and Givens seem to both be 4 year players. If Cupps beats out Givens is he willing to come off the bench? The other issue we don’t have a backup plan as we appear to be all in on Fland and Givens.

Oh I totally agree I’m just passing along what I heard. With that being said I think Shrews is just one of those dudes like Woody that people gravitate towards.

I have a guy I know who has a lot of contacts at ND he thinks they are in good shape with Sisley and Haralson. Shrews is going to big a big big big thorn in our side. Only thing that could help going forward is if a kid can’t get into ND academically. With that being said if we get Liam and make him a one and done first round pick that pipeline for Montverde will be insanely fruitful.

I think our biggest competition for Queen is Maryland and for McNeeley is Texas. If they want to play together IU is pretty much the only common denominator. With that being said Does Queen want to be a one and done? Is he too similar to TJD? Not that being similar to TJD is a bad thing but Woody wants to be a faced laser run and gun NBA style and said he had to change because of TJD. Does getting Queen affect that? I’d take Queen in a heart beat as he hustled and I think plays bigger than he is but if I remember correctly he is literally just a back to his back post player.
