There is a difference in having a meltdown when you’ve been on this board from the beginning and before or after you’re having a normal conversation respectfully with people. These past couple days is first time I’ve seen this person post and it’s been nothing but this.

I get where you’re coming from. I know everyone thinks he should have an opinion and they are right but there is a tone that he is using that makes it very negative and unproductive and frankly just not a fun debate. For the longest time I never agreed with IUFLA but I never felt like putting him on ignore or not responding to him because I still respected him and hope he respected me too. With this guy I don’t think he truly respects anybody else’s opinion which truly gets under my skin.

Do you not think that players and their families have back channel conversations with IU if they or Indiana thinks they fill a need. I guarantee that we will find players that are as good or better than Ledlum. If I’m right you have to admit you’re wrong. Deal?

They literally lost their senior point guard who change the whole trajectory of the season. Bates went to complete crap because of personal stuff off the court. They made the tournament and even won a game with having basically one effective guard. I’d say that’s pretty impressive. You try scoring as a 6 ft 9 all American when everyone packs the lane because of said one guard and see how well you do. It’s easy to be a complaining armchair quarterback or in this case armchair coach. Be a better fan

It’s not about being rainbow and unicorn it’s about we are patient and trust that the coaching staff knows a heck of a lot more than 30-80 year old out of shape men who wouldn’t last one week on the recruiting trail. My mentor is on a division 1 basketball staff and let me tell you it’s a grind and mentally exhausting. You constantly have to text kids, stay at hotels in the middle of nowhere, eat crappy food, hope you get cell phone service when you’re in the middle of nowhere Indiana or Tennessee. How about you give this staff a break and if I’m September they don’t have a roster completed to compete in the big ten then you can have all of us rainbow and unicorn fellas tell you that you were right. Deal?

I understand. It’s just completely different now than then. If you change your mindset to lower the expectations and they end up winning it will be much more enjoyable. If you think they should dominate like in the 70s and 80s well that’s almost impossible because of how spread out the talent is.

Because of the ‘24 and ‘25 classes I actually think him having one year left was one of the most important things about him.

I didn’t take it as disrespectful I took it as a genuine question. I think we’ve talked enough to understand each other and I completely agree with everything you’ve said.

I’m not obsessed with anything just an observation. The way you act makes it seem like it’s way more than a game. If it was just a game to you then you wouldn’t be so negative and have such a bad rep on here. 🤷🏻‍♂️hope one day you just trust the process and figure out a way to not be so negative man.

Look I understand things happen. If people aren’t correct from what they hear then it happens. Getting mad over getting misinformation on these boards are just ludacris. If someone is lying and just wants to become popular so they give false things then that’s on them. The people I talk to don’t just blow smoke. If they don’t know anything they will say that or if they can’t share something they won’t. Those reasons make me trust them.

What current options? Besides Cleveland I don’t see another option worth exploring. I think we wait until more players come out of the portal.

Why would someone give you tickets to a team you’re not a fan of? Fans find positives and negatives about a team and then root for them. I’ve literally never seen you post one positive thing since I’ve joined this board. I’m not sure what you have going on in your life but why do you even like sports or supposedly like IU because the way you act towards the players and coaches isn’t a fan? I’ve seriously questioned if you’re Dan Dakich because of how insanely negative you are ALL the time. I just don’t get you.

Just some people I’ve connected with on the internet who has been spot on for awhile and I trust. They truly believed he was committing. Not sure if true or not

After this year can they create a position for Howard or is every team required to have specific positions only? I just don’t see our coaches leaving or Hulls getting promoted before Howard would get poached away and let’s be honest Howard probably isn’t making a ton of money and limit responsibilities that won’t get him where he aspires to go.
