I think you make a good point. Somehow people still are under the spell of calapari but facts are he hasn’t been good for years and also is a terrible X’s and O’s Guy yet he still gets all of these 5 star recruits based off of past kids getting to the NBA but they need to look forward and base of off of best fit to get them to the NBA.

I think this is interesting based off of coach Woody’s comments yesterday post game about JHS. He’s a freshman he’s gonna make mistakes. I hope recruits hear him say that.

The angle they showed on the big screen was from out of bounds on the baseline.

IMO he didn’t on the block but what I saw on the big screen he did it right before. I’d like to see another relay of the full play.

Miller was guarding him then picked up those two quick fouls. Coach Ya stood up and told Miller and Gallo to switch. Then In second half both Gallo and Kopp both guarded him and guarded him very well.

Don’t hammer me here y’all but I was at the game and they showed a replay and it was a foul on JHS. Yes the block was clean but he actually hit him on the forearm then his hand got up for the block. I hate the refs as much as the next guy but unfortunately I’m this situation the ref was correct.

I’ll be going to only my third ever game at IU Saturday and my first in 5 1/2 years. I’m so freaking pumped… if anyone wants to meet up Friday night please shoot me an IM or wants to meet up before the game on Saturday also shoot me an IM. Gonna come Friday afternoon to get souvenirs and I’m a big guy. What would be best souvenir shop for big guy IU gear? I also need stuff for a 9 month old and a very tall 6 year old.

I’ve watched some women’s college in the past but this team this year is so legit and plays such team oriented PROPER basketball that I genuinely enjoy watching them play. Even when I was ubering tonight I had the game on my phone so I could listen to it through my car. I’ve not watched the women’s tournament in years past but i will be looking at the schedule closely so I can watch them play. I’d even go to a game if they were in St. Louis.

I am over bates and his terrible shots. I’d much rather CJ Gunn or Banks take his minutes and force Tamar to battle his way back or if he doesn’t like a challenge then Woody can show him the door.

Ok so I can buy the not fully extending his arm but he clearly dipped his shoulder into Gallo’s chest. That is called 98% of the time. Don’t reward a kid for creating space by committing an offensive foul because it’s the end of the game. Reward the good defense and call something that’s clearly a foul in the rule book.

that’s probably in my top 5 worse calls I’ve ever seen. He stole the ball, gained possession, then NW player hit him. I’d rather reds say we are gonna give the home team more calls tonight so be ready.

I think that’s a very good point. I also think this is strictly THD deciding he’s going for it all because this is it. I personally feel that TJD went to Woody and said I don’t want taken out the rest of the year. Earlier in the year Woody was mentioning needing to get him some rest (if I remember correctly) and now he just makes funny comments to deflect from that. If TJD does truly want to not come out I think preparing him in practice with shooting free throws while exhausted is the actual way to get him prepared for not coming out.

I’m very curious to know if you take him out let’s say 5 minutes a game how many points we would lose vs leaving him in and him missing free throws. I understand in this instance he missed one late but if he doesn’t play all 40 minutes we may not be to the point of leading late.

I don’t disagree but when he started he played with more confidence which elevated his play.

I understand JG has an injured calf but ever since Race came back it’s like JG has lost his confidence. I’d much rather have banks come in at the 4 after Malik when he’s not subbing in for Miller at the 3. JG not being prepared defensively and not having good hands offensively hurts us way more than what Race is doing IMO

Trayce did play 40 minutes last night… I really contribute three of those turnovers to being tired and be lackadaisical after grabbing the rebound.

If you look at how much Trayce has changed his mental toughness since Woody has been coach that should make recruits want to come play for him. The way he has dominated physically ever since that Illinois game last year it’s just night and day. He’d be intimidated by Edey in previous years but this year not so much.

I agree but disagree. I can get on board with those fouls being called but if you’re gonna call ticky tacky against us then it needs to be called both ways. If we are fouling because we are being physical that’s fine but in that case Trayce should be shooting 20 free throws a game yet he doesn’t get the calls other star players in this league get until after woody complains the whole first 15 minutes.

Also I think he fouled early in his career and got a reputation and now they are calling unfair fouls against him which aren’t justified. That hurts his development because he looses minutes

I totally agree!!! He has 10000% better hands than JG and just as good on the boards
