Yeah I heard ISU coach could be announced today for SLU. If that happens he’s definitely entering the portal this weekend it will just be a matter if he goes to SLU with his teammates or decides to go power 5. Rumor around here is ISU coach could bring all starters with him as they all have eligibility left so if that’s the case and Conwell doesn’t want to go money hunting then I can easily see him following his coach.

I assume Myles Rice? Then next target is Carlyle? I still personally would wait a couple days on Conwell even though he was really bad last night.

I feel like everyone is excited about Carlyle and rice. Why is everyone excited? I look at it as two more guys who are mid range players which is also tuckers strength. We obviously can still get a shooter or two but seems like if we get them EVERY GUARD we have just drives the ball.

I think tomorrow through Sunday will be interesting. ISU season is over tonight so we will see if he decides to go to SLU and if he does I’d think by next week we would know who is going with him.

Fair points. I’m sure there is some little tweak that gets him more comfortable off the dribble which I also thought was a struggle of his in shooting the three but don’t have exact data to back it. I’m sure there is a site out there that shows his percentages of off dribble threes, posted up threes, and off screen threes

I also think it’s a matter of how we feel about how many of the 4 top 2025 kids we think we are gonna get. 1. You want spots for as many of the 4 as you can and 2. You want some experienced mixed in if you get 2-4 of them. I do think even outside of Indiana the class of 2025 is pretty strong so that could help that mix of young players and portal players.

I’m not sure in his role if he is actually allowed to work with the players.

I’m hoping someone works with him or he gets his own shooting coach in offseason because even if he improves 2-3% from 3 that’s huge for us.
