  1. George picking up Poles at O'Hare airport himself last night...
  2. I would have no issue with Caldwell as OC. Supposedly, Poles has a connection with Flores as well, who I think would be a good HC candidate for Bears if they decide to hire a defensive minded HC. Flores as HC and Caldwell as OC, is something I would be completely on board with. And, like you brought up, Flores/Caldwell already have a working history, so it makes sense.
  3. I don't want Caldwell. He is 67 and had to leave last job due to health issues. I am ok with a defensive head coach as long as he brings a really good offensive coordinator in with him. Bills head coach McDermott was defensive coach, and brought in Daboll.
  4. So, for those keeping track, this would make 3 second interviews for Bears. Caldwell, Eberflus, and Quinn. I would prefer to see Flores and Daboll on that list....AFTER they hire a GM.
  5. I put if he leaves GB. I could see a few places making sense.
  6. I won't even pretend to know what goes on in Rodger's head. However, the odds makers seem to think it is the most likely scenario if he leaves GB. I guess we will see what happens.
  7. If Denver hires him, I fully expect them to go all in for Rodgers.
  8. Thanks again @IUFLAfor the handy "cheat sheet". Much appreciated!
  9. I won't trust the Bears to make a smart decision, but this would be maybe a best case scenario. Have Kahn who is more of a cap guy executive VP or whatever, hire a Brown or Poles or someone who specializes with scouting background as GM. Then let them hire the head coach. With McCaskeys/Ted preferably locked out of the room when the interviews take place. I am getting discouraged with reports that the Bears have Caldwell, Eberflus, and Frazier as "top candidates". They don't need to pull a Pace/Fox by forcing a coach on the GM. Let the GM they hire figure out the "top candidates" to bring in for second interviews. This is where I am hopeful that Polian is talking sense to them and not letting George/Ted do the same stuff they always do.
  10. Agreed. But, like I said earlier in this thread though...never underestimate the ineptitude of the McCaskeys.
  11. That really sucks for Josh Allen...he had a crazy good playoff.
  12. Closest thing in sports I have seen like this off the top of my head is Reggie Miller's crazy ending to beat the Knicks in the playoffs.
  13. Some great finishes this weekend! OT here?
  14. Thanks. That makes sense as to why he hasn't been seeing any action at all lately as well. I am happy to hear he loves CMW as well.
  15. You would think so, but then...McCaskeys...
  16. For those looking for a silver lining... Tom Brady lost today.
