I think many are discounting Gallo. Woody himself said "Gallo is the best player on the court and has earned starter status at this point". If he's the best player on the court including Mac, Ware, and XJ, then he's definitely stepped up his already solid game. Just sayin....

I'm gonna do a lot of what some of you guys are doing already. Bought an inversion table. Don't have it yet. Monday supposedly. PT said to get an inner lift for my right shoe, as my right leg is shorter than my left. (probably thanx to the Dr that did my right knee replacement 5-6 years ago) Also going to a pain mgt Dr for an epidural hopefully soon. But I think the inversion table, and continued exercise, as well as the shoe lift should help, at least somewhat. We'll see. For you young-ins in your 30's with back issues, stay on top of it. I'm old so it's common. Not for you guys.

Got my MRI results (actually saw the MRI) and I definitely have some moderate to severe compression in the lower spinal cord that is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. Doc wants to try pain therapy (read epidural into the spinal column...ouch!) to try to stabilize the compression, and hopefully reverse it somewhat. Said PT won't help at this point, maybe later, but was doubtful. I bought an inversion table to help relieve some of the compression. Don't know if it will help, but it can't hurt. don't have it yet, but hopefully will get it soon. My condition is not nearly as severe as some of you guys, and I am not trying to get any sympathy here because it is not warranted, and its just a function of being F-ing old. Guess I just wanted to share, and hopefully some of you younger guys should heed the warnings your body sends you early on, rather than playing tough guy and ignoring the symptoms. Might be too late to correct your issue if you wait too long. Just sayin'....

Yeah, I FINALLY got an email about 6 hours after the tickets were to go on sale. They are right on top of things aren't they...idiots. Until I can actually order tix, I'm skeptical that Friday is a real date. Also, supposedly added Tulane to the 4-some of teams.

Just checked the various websites (ticketmaster, St Farm Arena, etc) and while the website promoting the event says tickets on sale now, nobody else, including ticketmaster even has the event on their calendars, much less tix for sale. Pisses me off. Promote it, then drop the ball on ticket sales. I signed up for email updates, and so far....crickets.

I'm sure you're right, as I was told that the season was a "sellout" and there weren't any tickets available to the public for this game. I probably mis-interpreted their response to mean nobody got tickets thru the IU office. I'm sorry for the confusion.

I know it's way early, but tickets go on sale tomorrow (8/15/23 @ 11:30 am) I contacted the IU ticket office and they told me they won't have any tickets for that game. Only the promoter. Wonder how many LOI's these days have NIL clauses with guaranteed amounts. (Maybe none) but I bet a few have tried. Would be interesting to see if a player claims "breach of contract" if such a clause existed...

For any of you Chicago fans, (and CTA), there is a pretty good band that has done covers of some of Chicago's songs. Band is called Leonoid and Friends. Not creative, but damn good. Would recommend listening to "Beginnings" and "Street Player" in particular on YT.
