  1. We only hit 11 for 22 for layups. Imagine the margin if we hit 80% of them. Great team win. Shared the ball.
  2. If we can quit going for their shot fakes, and stay on the floor, they can't keep shooting lights out for the entire game.
  3. And EVERY shot was a good one. Wide open.
  4. 16 pts in what? 90 seconds it felt like.
  5. Only after he travels on every possession.
  6. Well they ARE a Hockey school after all... And I'm not kidding
  7. Knowing our luck, some walk on will lay 20 on us, and make it a game.
  8. I'm impressed by how well the gals move the ball on offense. Sharp crisp passes, seems like their playing with a hot potato most of the time. The boys could learn something from them...
  9. There is a hockey rink underneath. Or at least there used to be. May have their own facility now. Been 3 decades since I lived there. But even from what I see in the background on TV, it's the same sh!thole, with a new coat of paint and a wannabe hockey rink floor.
  10. I was talking about BTB. I participate over there a little, but not much at all. It has gone downhill with the attack dogs that come out. Not everybody is bad, but there are a lot more than there used to be. I "fired" Rivals years ago.
  11. Which other board are we talking about? Rivals or BTB?
  12. Purpose of this thread is to provide explanations, for any topic you want, that isn't "publicized". "Supply chain issues" For the past (almost) 2 years we've heard the phrase of "Supply Chain Issues", as the default excuse for items being out of stock, delays in product deliveries, and even service deliveries. What you're NOT hearing is that shutdown of the economy for Covid caused extreme financial stress for virtually every company, and even more so on small companies, and local businesses. For a small business, Cash flow is king. With no demand, businesses still had overhead to pay, utilities to pay, interest on existing loans to pay, wages, benefits, etc. The result is that even today (2 years later) most small and local businesses have lousy credit with their vendors. Most businesses are already over extended, and hanging on by a thread. So when you have to order something (since they don't have it in stock anymore), it could very well be that their credit is lousy and they have to pre-pay the the vendor before they see shipment. And the vendor has the same issue with their suppliers. Something to consider if you're about to buy a big ticket item from a small or local business. It's easy to point a finger upstream. Not everything should be put at the feet of the ports being backed up.
  13. You don't expect CBS to admit that they hire "hacks" to their staff do you? It's like asking your [name a profession] are you any good? And expect them to say "No, I graduated bottom of my class, and only took this job because it was the only one available"...
  14. IMO, the "other" site has eroded significantly in recent months. I've been bludgeoned to death over a couple of innocent posts. It's almost like it's trying to become rivals 2.0 (probably too strong of a description, but it's not all "nice, nice" like it used to be.
  15. Does being mentally sick count? That would include Michigan. Howard out of control, Dickerson spaced out comments, etc etc etc
  16. Stole this from the BTB board....credit to Assembly Call. Through 8 Big Ten games, Trey Galloway is: • 2nd in ORtg (132.6) • 1st in 3P% (52.4%, 11-21) • 8th in 2P% (60.7%, 17-28) • 2nd in eFG% (68.4%) All while sporting a low TORate of just 11.1%. #iubb — Assembly Call (⚪,🔴) (@AssemblyCall) January 23, 2023 And...has a motor that won't stop. His D is pretty darn good too!
  17. Can't wait for the next "handshake line" between the 2 of them. Somebody might pull a Juwan Howard....
  18. I'd glady respond to it, but I'm not sure the search engine could find it buried in all the PUke stuff.
  19. I"d rather see the refs T him up, and toss him than to let it continue. He gets away with with Francon 5 because he's done it for so long it's his M.O.
  20. I agree he has no issue correcting them, but he lets them ramble on, and on, and on before they get around to their (often) idiotic question that a 5th grader could do better. Ex: "How important is" (this or that). Totally dimented.
  21. I've been to "The Barn" a few times when I lived in Mpls. They should really call it "The Out House". Worst venue in basketball at any level, including Jr High...
  22. (Even though this is basketball related, I didn't want to post it on the bball board.) Postgame pressers: Guys like that POS Coyle that takes 5 minutes to ask his damn question, that should take 15 seconds, or less. And Coyle isn't the only one. Seems like they want a bunch of mic time. (I'm sure it's an ego thing) but they're supposed to be reporters, not arm chair coaches. Wish Woody would start "dismissing" these idiot questions, or at least interrupt them and ask if they have a question in our lifetime.
  23. TJD should take Garcia to school on offense. But with Garcia's height advantage, he could get TJD into foul trouble, especially with homer refs. I'd put Kopp on Battle at the start to see how that goes.
  24. Hey IUFLA...how 'bout changing the title of this thread to "Purdue". 99% of it is banter on PU only. That way, those of us who couldn't care less about PU guys focussing the discussionon just to PU can go at it 24/7 with our guys who want that debate. I"d rather read up on all the other teams in the B1G, not just PU.
  25. Doesn't matter if he's wide open or not, he's hitting them. He's also using his head on when the right time is.
