And yet, he doesn't get much love in the MVP voting. He may not be flashy, he may not be smooth, but damn....he is effective! Always has been one of my favorites because he plays with intensity most players can only dream of.

Not sure if it was in the presser, or just a comment by JHS, but supposedly he told Woody in the huddle near the end that "I want the ball".

Someone earlier posted that it's been 25 yrs since a player got 25/7/5 blks against a #1 or something like that. I'd like to know if another center has ever gotten 25 pts against Edey. Not guards or forwards, but another big guy.

Love the win. We deserved it. But...our energy and ball movement in the 2nd half stunk. Everybody was standing around waiting for JHS, or TJD to make a play. Not sure what happened, but they certainly didn't have the same intensity as the 1st half. D was good, but O wasn't close to the 1st half. Only scored 29 in the 2nd period.

Trayce played up to his ranking. JHS gets the "at-a-boy" award from me. Great play near the end of the game. Gallo also had a great game. Loved is pass fake and then laid it up behind Edey's back

BSU wins it in OT Eastern Michigan makes an Over and back on the inbounds play that the refs completely whiffed. EM guy banks in a 3 ptr at the buzzer. Good thing BSU was up 4.

Hear you man. I had triple bypass in 2016. Haven't had a lick of problems since (at least with the heart). My a-fib went away, no more meds for that. You'll be on some "maintenance" meds forever but no big deal. All of mine are generics. Thinking of you and sending positive vibes !! Now...back to the game. Hope we stomp the be-jeebers out of them.

Wanted to give you guys a monthly update on the MVP voting. As you already know TJD is in the lead no matter how you look at it. But what's interesting (or sad, depending on your point of view) is that we don't have a consistent #2. It seems to be a round robin in voting for Race, Bates, Kopp, and X. In any game, one of those guys might step up, but it's usually not the same one (based on the overall voting). And it's rarely 2 games in a row for any of them. I suspect if X was playing, he might be the #2, but he's shown the "ability" to disappear in games as well. So we'll see how the rest of the season plays out. I'll do another update at the end of Feb, before March Madness starts.

If we can contest the 3's, I don't think they can outscore us in the paint. Play above avg defense (doesn't have to be great), don't foul, and we'll grind it out for a Dub..

Earlier a poster said it was a well officiated game. For the most part I agree. But...Okaparole or whatever his name is, set about 100 moving screens and NONE of them were ever called. Trey has to be black and blue from this guy leaning into him with his shoulder, knee, thigh, whatever he had available to take Trey out. I saw one screen where his feet were 5' apart. Legal screen is no wider than shoulder width. When you guys watch the replay, keep an eye on that big guy from OSU you'll see what I mean.

A first I was concerned to, but when I saw a better picture of the piece that fell, it was too small to be a structural component. Probably a cross brace for supporting a speaker or something else that was light weight.

7 rebounds. Not sure how many Kopp had, but I suspect it was only 1-2. And Banks only played 12 minutes.

We don't win this without JHS carrying us for the 1st half. 2nd half was a good team half.
