I haven't read much of this thread, because I didn't want to throw up or jump off a cliff. Sh|t happens and this was a huge pile. The most encouraging thing for me was Woody's 2 minute presser. Finally we got to see thru the "class act" suit of armor to the real pissed off Woody. If the guys don't respond against MI, then we won't be a real threat in either of the tourneys. But...I'll still root for them, and support them, and hope for the absolute best for each of them. Now, and after they're living their lives outside of college.

Been there done that! The fact that you're waiting another month for it "implies" it's not an emergency surgery, which is great. I had mine 6+ years ago, and haven't had a problem since. Feel like it never happened! So should you. Recovery is a little frustrating if they have to cut your breastbone, because you can't do squat for 6 weeks til it heals, but other than that you should be good to go !! Good luck. Sorry, I guess I didn't make myself clear. I wasn't talking about IU being on the outside looking in, depending on how we do in the B1G Tourney. I was talking about RU & MSU possibly missing the big dance if they make a quick exit in the B1G Tourney.

With a little separation within the league now, I think what happens in the B1G Tourney will decide if we get 5-6 in the dance or 7-8 in the dance. If RU or MSU lose in the 1st round of the B1G Tourney, I think they are on the outside looking in. Just my 2¢

I mentioned it in the MVP thread, but I give a big assist to TJD for commanding so much attention, that it opened up the floor, not just for JHS,, but Gallo, Kopp, Race & Malik.

I blocked him over a month ago. And rightly so....don't need to listen to his non-sense. Disagreements are one thing, idiocy is quite another.

Almost no contest for MVP, but Gallo is really starting to impress. His consistency is really good, as well as is D. Gallo gets my "at-a-boy". JHS gets MVP. (with an assist from TJD for drawing so much attention)

THAT is an entirely different scenario my friend. That is something that has merit. Hopefully....(it hasn't worked out so well with gov't employees/congress, but that may be a one-off)

I couldn't disagree more with this. There has never been a direct link between pay and better performance for an individual BEFORE the fact of better performance. So using your logic, it's OK for officials to be half-assed because (in your opinion) they are not paid enough. If you increase the pay for them before they improve, then they should automatically get better. Sorry...but ain't gonna happen. In my 50 years of working for other people and myself, I've never seen someone get a salary increase BEFORE their performance improved. Maybe you have, but I have to think it is a rarity, unless it's union labor. (which doesn't apply to refs)

Seems to me if the refs called the game consistently, and without bias, they wouldn't be harassed....😕

And I ALWAYS make sure I have to pay them a little, and not get a refund, which is just another way of saying "I made them an interest free loan for 18 months".

I'm at the age where I really don't give a "hoot" if other people disagree with me. Sometimes that's healthy, but I don't get upset about it. If they do, that's their baggage to carry, not mine. Sometimes the truth is tough to swallow. Bates (and yes, Geronimo) have been very disappointing (to me) this season. Both were supposed to make major jumps forward in their games. It just hasn't happened consistently. Have there been some flashes of great play? Absolutely. It's just too bad that the bad play is the norm, and the flashes of brilliance are a rare occurrence. What would really be nice is if we could get some level of improvement consistently (out or either one of them). Not brilliance all the time, just good solid ball.

Tamar is a very nice young man. No qualms at all with him there. His play of late has been detrimental to us winning. Getting beat on defense (alot), making bad passes, he's just not focused, or so it seems. If he was scoring 10-12 pt s a game you could put up with that somewhat...perhaps. But for the last 3-4 games he's been subpar. My 2¢
