  1. I've tuned in to most of the games today. EVERY one of them, both teams played with intensity and energy I haven't seen in years at IU. Compared to the NCAA teams, we play like we're in the "walk-thru" practice session. Pitiful.
  2. Yale over Auburn....or Colo over FL It IS March Madness !!
  3. So how many of you guys picked Yale to beat Auburn in the first round?
  4. Outstanding defense by NW for the whole game
  5. Silly me, I had pUKe in the Elite 8. Also didn't see MSU playing that much better.
  6. Oh good...if we get him we can play 3 bigs at once!
  7. Wonder how much that article cost him to get published. Woodson's claim that he admits when he's wrong and the author's claim that he's a great coach really rubbed me the wrong way. If it takes 3 years to find out you're doing something wrong before you change it, that hardly makes you a good (much less great) coach in my book.
  8. Not sure, but if the camp is not held at IU, or...if the IU logo is used in any ads, there are royalties to pay and permission to get before hand.
  9. Love your optimism. But I think you'll be sorely disappointed. Woodson is to stubborn to change. After all, we're not true fans that act like lemmings for him.
  10. Wonder if Lewis would take him back at Ball State?
  11. What about "lipstick for the p__"? (just kidding, just kidding)
  12. Not sure where to post this, but over on TDH there is a link to an interview with Brian Evans on the current state of IU BBall. You may, or may not agree with him, but you gotta give the guy credit for speaking his mind as an IU Big 10 player of the year in his time.
  13. Oh, I agree. I wasn't trying to take a shot at you. My point is what's "good" in our minds, is probably light years different of what's "good" in Woodson's mind since he thinks he doing a good to great job already.
  14. The real problem is, what is "doing something good" to Woodson prolly won't even register as a mild win for the fan base until we see performance on the floor next season. And by then it's far too late.
  15. Gives a whole new meaning to "riding shotgun".
  16. Doesn't have to be old people. I was behind a gal at the checkout, and she was taking FOREVER to find a nickel (literally a friggin nickel) in her purse. I reached into my pocket, pulled out a nickel and tossed on the checkout stand. Told her "my treat". Everybody within ear shot laughed and nodded their heads at me.
  17. Looks good! Like a "stairway to heaven" (as the song says)
  18. I must be missing something. Most of you guys "sound" like you're confident of us landing a bunch of portal guys. If I'm a portal guy, and take more than a 3 second look at how IU plays, I'd pass in a heartbeat. My concern is we don't land enough guys to get to 10, much less 13 scholly's.
  19. Watched most of the IL v WI game. The movement, the PACE of movement, the intensity, on both teams, was literally LIGHT YEARS ahead of our lack-a-dayzical, pathetic offense.
  20. Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you !!
  21. I am one of the older (if not the oldest HSN member). I was agnostic on Woodson's hire. What he did as a player is irrelevant (at least to me) when it comes to coaching. RMK wasn't even a regular rotation player in college. Probably saw more time than Leal did in his 1st 3 years, but not much). RMK turned out OK as a coach. Personally I don't think age is a determining factor, one way or the other. Your recent post concerning Pearl is very accurate. He's older than May by a bunch, but he's proven himself to be a winner, as you said. I agree. FWIW, I'm in the Dusty May camp myself. Not solely because he went to the Final 4 last year, but because he's built a very competitive team from nothing, at a school that many haven't even heard of. FAU is almost like the Hickory of Hoosiers movie in my mind. I like Dusty's background. former manager for IU, worked his way up, paid his dues, he's earned a shot at the big time. And with his work ethic, I believe he'll succeed no matter where he ends up. I would certainly accept Dusty as a new hire, far more than keeping Woodson around. Because I've seen what comes with Woodson, and I'm not convinced it will get any better. His NBA experience has made him accustomed to loosing on a regular basis. A.500+ record in the pros can get you in the playoffs. That is a helluva lot different than .500+ in college.
  22. Certainly a possibility. But not a probability in my mind. I think we'll be an absolute $hitshow. Little Sisters of the Poor and Paraplegic State will be close games, and we'll still find a way to lose.
