  1. I think Gallo has already committed to stay (assuming he doesn't want to enter the portal) Leal probably wants to get on with his R/E career, BUT he could see some significant playing time next year based on our "holes" in the roster. So he "might" come back, but I doubt it. Can't see Mac leaving just yet. He's a major part of the offense. I just hope McNeely doesn't change his mind and request a release.
  2. G'night boys. No need to self inflict the pain from watching this turnover fest.
  3. I would be surprised if Gallo leaves, even with a coaching change. Unless IU hires some unknown, unproven coach.
  4. Nice tile job...but it's a bugger to clean.... (tiles are upside down)
  5. Did you ever attend a game there? I did on a couple of occasions when I lived up there, and boy was I under-whelmed. Lots of limited visibility seating. Bleachers thru out the entire barn. Raised floor (over a hockey rink) made most players uncomfortable to say the least. The only thing missing was some hay bales. Now that was 40 years ago, and I suspect they've done some sort of make over (read: lipstick on a pig).
  6. If your mind has this many warning (didn't want to say "idiot") lights going off...you really are messed up....lol
  7. Just listened to Woody's presser after the game. Body language was horrible. He looked like we lost by 15. Kept saying how X is the difference in this team, and if we'd had X all season we'd be a better team. Well....news flash....you're not going to have X next year, so should we expect more slo-mo offense? And all the other issues we've suffered thru all year?
  8. Headed to Walmart in San Francisco
  9. Had to have a big toe nail removed. Went to the ER. They have to numb it before removal.
  10. Not that anybody cares, but here are the results for MVP voting for the B1G conf, thru Feb. I promised to give an update at the end of each month. On the weighted scale (1st, 2nd, 3rd in voting): Ware is 1st. Reneau, Gallo, & Mac are close behind. Only 2 votes separate them. On the winner takes all tally: Ware 1st, Reneau close 2nd. On the most votes: Ware, GALLO in 2nd, and Reneau 3rd. I'll post season to date before the start of the B1G tourney. I plan on keeping track of the B1G tourney results separately, assuming we win a game or 2.
  11. Personally I'd love it if we would try some experiments with the lineups, offense, screens, and on, and on, and on....
  12. I've intentionally stayed out of this discussion because I figured one of you more seasoned observers would bring it up, but so far I haven't seen it. First off, I REALLY wanted Woody to succeed. No reservations about it. But...he hasn't. And I have a theory, and it's just that...a theory. The vast majority of Woody's life has been in the NBA. Only 4 years @ IU, and 30+ years in the league. They play (or used to) 82 games a year. No NBA team EVER comes close to an undefeated season. And in Woody's tenure, he became "accustomed" to losing. The question was how many? To me, he just seems all too comfortable with losing, and "gotta keep working" and moving on to the next game, almost like there are an infinite number of games to make it work. His reluctance to make adjustments to starting lineups is frustrating to me, always has been. Even when a bench player far exceeds a starter's production, he sometimes doesn't even get into the next game, much less get a starting position, or major minutes. Our fundamentals stink, offense is in slow-mo most of the time, and no real leadership IMO. Now I'm sure Woody has forgotten more about the game, than I'll ever know. But in life, some things are obvious, even to casual observers.
  13. I'd bet on ... its a given....
  14. Wish I could vote for 2. Gallo & Ware. Gallo's 12 assists were under appreciated in my book. But Ware was finally engaged the entire game, and dominated.
  15. I was flipping back and forth between the Men's and women's games. There was one very striking difference: The women's team moves the ball with pace, both up the floor, ,and particularly in each and every pass they make. The men's team (mainly X) walks the ball up the court, and every pass is non-chalant. I bet it never gets above 2 mph. We had at least 2-3 steals against us because of lazy passes. It's so fundamental. I learned how to pass in the 6th grade.... And we may have some talented players, but they're not mentally tough. Not even close. Cupps, Gallo, and Walker are mentally tough in my book. But no one else comes to mind. Maybe Leal.
  16. I think she mis-interpreted the "copy" feature....
  17. I view Dusty May differently than some of you. I see a coach with a great background, working his way up the ranks of coaching, and getting a bunch of 2-4 star guys to come to some unknown school in FL and be more than just a buy in game. Of the games I've watched, his teams have been more than competitive in all of them. His guys are not nearly as talented as the "big schools", but he has a system that works and makes them a tough team to beat. And his facilities are crap according to him from an interview I heard. They wouldn't even take recruits to the locker room on the tour.
  18. Just FYI for all you "youngsters" out there (under 45) thinking 65 is on a final approach to a funeral, I'll wager Woody (and the rest of us on this board 65+) are just as sharp mentally as any of you. Woody has at least 10 more years if he wants it. I doubt if he wants to coach that long, but he certainly could.
  19. I think we should put Cupps in the circle to jump with Edey and put Ware between 2 of the PU guys on Edey's side of the circle....so he can steal the tip.
