  1. Started a new project on Saturday. Decided to put a lean-to on the back side of my 2nd garage to store some implements and an utility trailer. 24' x 16' with 11' high roof. Here's what I've got done since Saturday (I know....I'm slow...and old !)
  2. Congrats ! You guys look like a great couple. (keep it that way !)
  3. I've tried for the last 10 years, since we've moved down to the Augusta area. Zilch until 2 years ago. I've now gotten tickets 2 out of the last 3 years....practice rounds, but based on what I see on TV during the actual tournament, I think I would rather have practice rounds. A lot more freedom to roam around and see different things, and different parts of the course. I've had 3-4 people try to get tickets on my behalf for the last 5 years, and they all struck out. I just got lucky all of a sudden...especially for a "local". I think they favor out of towners because of all the additional money they spend in the local economy.
  4. I got lucky and had 4 practice round tickets for this year...then Covid hit. Really thought we'd have "patrons" by this November, but nope ! Kind of backed into being fortunate there aren't fans this year, as we're supposed to have heavy rain on Wed & Thurs, and showers the rest of the week. Would have been miserable to be out there as a fan in those conditions. The grandstands are not covered. The good news is, that I'm guaranteed my 4 tickets for 2021 Masters.
  5. Glad you're doing better than you look Rico !! (Anesthesia always makes anybody look horrible coming out of the O.R.) Of course there wasn't much to start with anyway ! Get better soon!
  6. And you're also color blind !! (LOL) The only way you'll make that look good is if you put an IU logo under the window about 2'-3' tall. You should have used that level to run your screws on the bottom plate....even Jessie has that look of "I tried to tell him, but he won't listen"
  7. Sounds like a great plan, and I love that you're "doing it right". Be proud!
  8. Looks very nice Leather... Are you going to raise the grade and put in a window well when you're done with the siding? Might as well clean the gutters while you're "up there" too ! (lol)
  9. Hey....Halloween is still 3 weeks off. Don't start breaking out the costumes yet, even if this one was on the "Clearance" rack.
  10. So you took a ½ hour to put away tools, materials, etc and another 10 minutes to find your phone to take the pic, and then how ever long to set up this picture, and post this. Hell...you could have finished the metal work, wired and insulated the place in less time than that !!
  11. I'm too ugly, and too old to share our pics. That's why I have the Avatar that I do. He was the best looking of all of us...
  12. I recently had a friend convince me to get an impact driver/drill. He told me once you get this, you'll never use your regular power drill...He was right. Reacher is right concerning getting a socket attachment for your drill. An impact driver will likely eliminate the need to hand tighten the bolts after you snug them up. Harbor freight sells a 3 pc set of socket drivers (¼", 3/8", & ½") for like $5. So no matter what size socket you use, you've got an attachment for your drill.
  13. Patience can replace skill pretty easily. Don't be in a hurry, take your time, spend a bunch of time making sure your corner posts are square to each other, and measure 3 times before you cut once. If you don't have a 6' level, get one, and a good 12" chop saw. If you're "challenged" on why you need the chop saw, the correct answer is: "You want it done right, or quick?"
  14. Ditto that ▲ And...lumber yards usually carry a bunch better grade of lumber than the big box stores as well, and at the same price or very, very close.
  15. Is that a 2nd door down at the end of the side wall? (or a window)
  16. Looks like a fantastic location you have! Where we're at...we need an outdoor AC pit, rather than a fire pit. Very, very nice job. Enjoy!
  17. 65 year old man goes to his Dr for a physical and blood work. Doc tells him, "You're in fair shape for a man your age". Guy is a little concerned with Doc's comment and asks: "Will I make it to 85?" Doc asks: Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? "No ! Never!" Doc: Do you engage in risky behavior like skydiving, scuba diving, rock wall climbing? "No ! I'm smarter than that" Doc: Do you eat a lot of read meat, fried foods? "No, my other doctor told me to eliminate those from my diet" Doc: Do you have a lot of sex, travel to far away places, drive fast cars? "No, not for quite some time now" Doc: Then why do you give a $hit?
  18. What kind of roof you planning? Shed roof? Gable @ 90° to existing shed?
  19. Did you have to replace any of the framing? It didn't look too bad in the 1st pic.
