  1. Kind of surprised no one referenced this Luke Combs song. Just a feel good, kick ass, fun song.
  2. Holy crap Rico !! Did you laminate two 2x10's (or 12's) together for those seats? You could put a blue whale on top of those and they wouldn't break ! (Exactly, how much do you weigh?) Nice job though!
  3. Couple of these would work for your boat...
  4. That's some water pressure you got there 5....
  5. No...just moronic...as usual.
  6. I've looked at a bunch of them, and to me they all have significant drawbacks. I haul a lot of stuff, hence the need for the Line-X bed liner, but I doubt if I get a Tonneau cover. About once a month I go over to Columbia, SC and get 1000# of dog food for the local animal shelter, sometimes 2500#. I often have to put a pallet of food in the truck and one on my small trailer. I also load up a bunch of trash to take to local dump once a week. A Tonneau cover would just get in the way I think.
  7. A couple of weeks ago Ford took their pants off on F150 rebates. I jumped on it. Luckily I bought it when I did, cause that deal is long gone. As it turns out, even though car sales are down 50%+, the F150 sales are only off about 1%. Ford says they may have a shortage of them before they can get production back up and dealers restocked. Nothing fancy...just a 2020 F150 Eco-boost. Added a spray in bed-liner, window tint, windshield tint, mud flaps and bug deflector after picture was taken.
  8. That really sucks 99... Almost looks like the tree was rotted from the inside out. Good luck with the insurance. Keep sayin "No deal" until you get a fair settlement. Threaten them with an attorney if needed. I'm glad no one was hurt. Just make sure you keep it that way when you start doing the clean up. Better yet, have insurance company pay for a company to come in and clean it up!
  9. Just read a new author that Rush recommended, as well as James Patterson. Called False Assurances, by Rosow. Rush raved about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. $3 ebook on Amazon Kindle, or Apple books. Could not put it down. It was suspense, humor, drama, mystery all rolled into one. Read it in 2 sittings. 2nd book is also out now ($3 ebook as well) using the same character. Getting ready to read that one today.
  10. Looks like you could hire out as a sub for builders !
  11. I didn't use a real estate dude for the last 2. And I saved over a $125k on each of the last 2 builds from being my own subs.
  12. That's why I've always said it's easier to build from scratch than to "redo" everything. I've built every house we've ever lived in. (I think we're up to 6 now). While I am the general contractor, I'm also about 14 subs...foundation, plumbing, electrical, flooring, windows, tile, cabinet install, deck, paint, architect, irrigation, light excavation, and "Jose".
  13. Well you must have at least ONE good trait, since you married your wife! She's cute! Congrats on a great family.
  14. Actually....it's SOP for the SOB's.
  15. You should have told us this was your "virus hibernation project". I would have believed you...at least a minute or two 🤣
  16. Whew! I was afraid you were gonna try to get me to listen to Rap, against a jazz background. (can't even imagine that. Would be a good waste of jazz) That wasn't bad. Thanx for posting.
  17. I'm an old fart, so I have to keep it simple... Southern Comfort and Ice Tea. Great warm weather drink. (TDHoosier...great idea for a thread)
  18. You've been busy!! Like the solid surface surround on the tub. Never saw "barn door" hardware on a vanity before. That's neat! (except you mounted the sliding door upside down....) 🤭 Nice job...really! And just for future reference....don't EVER include a roll of duct tape in any pictures you publish.
  19. Sent you a private message. Didn't want to promote on the public side of the site.
  20. Couldn't agree more. I learned how to read and play music before I could read words. Played a few instruments all the way into college before giving it up. But music has had a life long, impact on me. And, good music can be found in virtually any genre. (except rap....that is not music)
  21. Nice job for all you guys that posted pics ! For the rest of us that complain about multiple trips to stores for same job, just bear in mind that in our family, we have a genetic trait that dictates that we turn a 10 minute job, into 4 Days !! Usually includes having to redo/take apart work already "completed" to finish the last 2% (and of course the multiple trips to the store) Had a contractor install "California" style closet system in the master WIC. Looked good, but when you hung a T-shirt on the rod, the back of the hanger/shirt would rub the wall, big time. Not good. Called the contractor to fix it, and got a bunch of push back that their way (10" clearance from center of rod) was right, versus the standard 12" that everybody else has. Long story short...I told the contractor to come out and fix it, or rip it off the wall. They came out and ripped it out. I went online to a closet company we had used before in other houses, ordered a new system, had it in 7 days, installed it in one day (over 30 linear feet) and the quality of the material was much better than the contractor, and the installation was structurally more stable. (and it was a LOT less expensive)
  22. He could, but the proper way would be to remove the drywall, put up a vapor barrier over the studs, and then install the concrete board, tape the seams, and then tile. Just my 2¢
