  1. I agree. It will be complicated, at best, if the only reliable evidence is the video. That does show an apparent assault/battery. But, even then, we don't see the preamble to all the commotion. wasn't responding to your post specifically because I don't have the background to provide a good answer.
  2. Whatever charges may be filed will depend greatly on whether many reported details not on the video can be corroborated.
  3. I've heard similar and your question is right on target. In addition to what you describe, on top of the in-school days, there will be students/families who elect to keep children homes (underlying conditions, for example). So teachers will have to have on-line prepared essentially every day unless there is some special mechanism in place to keep that off their plate. Just seems like - while having "normal" classes/school is what everyone would prefer - under the circumstances it's so complicated it will just end up being counter productive.
  4. Didn't the original task force do that to a greater extent and then the pressure to re-open quickly turned into ignoring the guidelines? At this point, I'd settle for people just committing to wearing masks in indoor, high-traffic public spaces (grocery, places of business, etc.). I get that it's a pain in the ass, but I'd err on the side of caution if it saves one life. Yet as we've moved away from the initial stay at home period, I see less and less people willing to do it.
  5. Will have to give The Stranger a try. Still going on Rectify - into 2nd season of 3 (I think). Also have new season of Ozarks - which others here have mentioned - in the cue.
  6. Well, I suppose there's still hope for Campbell to show something. That would help immensely. Have to admit last season was underwhelming, even for a rook.
  7. Still concerned about Rivers having any targets to throw to outside TY. We could go WR with a 2nd or 3rd, but can we really count on a rookie to play big snaps all season and legitimately take heat of Hilton? I guess you've got Fountain coming back and Pacal. Hard to see them being legit impact players though. Is rumored interest in ancient Delanie Walker really going to be enough to complement Doyle? Would love to see Alie-Cox break out. Don't know if realistic, but thought he flashed enough the year before last.
  8. Guess Rhodes saves some $ due to one less year compared to Desir? I don't think he was as good as Desir the last couple years. Rhodes has been on the decline last two or three seasons since the pro bowl appearance. Hope he gets his mojo back. Are we to expect a fairly high pick in the draft to be his eventual replacement? Maybe they think Tell will eventually eclipse him. Ya-Sin and Moore should lock down other two spots, no? Certainly Wilson can't still be in the mix for anything but depth?
  9. Have watched a couple episode of Rectify. Like it so far. Was reading an online article very favorable of The Messiah where the author talked about having really enjoyed Rectify.
  10. If you liked 1st two seasons of the Sinner, I'd check out 3rd. Still has that feel and Bill Pullman. Storyline not as compelling as first two, but not bad.
  11. Yeah. Brady could have pulled a McDaniels? Anyway, further Colts news - Funchess signs with the Pack. So who the hell is Rivers going to be throwing to? I get TY, but it's TY and a skeleton crew. And, sadly, TY ain't no spring chicken anymore.
  12. So Desir to Jets just like that. He was also Colts nominee for Walter Payton Man of the Year. Saved some cash I suppose, but still baffled. Just gifted Jets a cheap, proved CB starter.
  13. Surprised to see the Colts releasing Pierre Desir.
  14. He definitely inherits more dynamic and deeper receiving corps in TB than he would have in Indy. That plus the the Pats-Colts history/rivalry - already mentioned - would be my theory. Rivers is taking on a lesser WR group as well, but he has the Reich/Sirianni history and is getting a boost in terms of O-line compared to how LA's group performed last season. Hoping the Colts find a way to add one more solid vet to the WR corps even if they plan to stock up on young potential via draft. Wonder how Funchess is doing recovery-wise and what his asking price is now. Inman is another guy I'd consider having around if on a cheap deal. I'd prefer someone better than that, but at least those guys have experience, are dependable, and could tutor younger WRs.
  15. Big time coin we're going to be shelling out for Buckner. Guess you get what you pay for. Is a FA QB (Rivers) inevitable? I'm guessing a developmental prospect with upside is a must in draft regardless. Despite the Buckner move, I wouldn't be opposed to upgrading the outside pass rush. Yes, WR is a clear position of extreme need. How about upgrading Glowinski on OL?
  16. There's definitely some bad luck floating around. That said, the only concern on Brogdon in Milwaukee was he was somewhat injury prone. Time will tell, but now you look at a team depending on three guys in its future core recovering from season-ending injuries. Two of which - Oladipo and Brogdon - are arguably your two best players, and definitely our starting guards. I hope Brogdon makes a full recovery. If the injury struggle persists with him though, I think that move opens up to some fair questioning.
  17. Pacers have exceeded expectations thus far this season. Watching this game v. Bulls does make me wish there had been some way to hold on the Thad Young. He's a total blue collar, glue-guy. And a solid player, especially defensively.
  18. Brogdon, Warren, and McDermott all out (along with Lamb). Oladipo will go! Brian Bowen reportedly will start - WHOA!
  19. Wow! Sounds like Pacers could be without Lamb (season), Oladipo, Brogdon, Warren, and Sampson tonight. Apparently Bulls just got a boatload of injured guys back. Although Lavine may not suit up. Should be interesting. Overall, I've liked Brogdon, but he has lived up to his Bucks injury-prone record. Vic warmed up before last game. Wonder how expected or unexpected it would have been for him to miss 3 straight, assuming he doesn't go.
  20. Lamb news is the shitty icing on top of the cake of the debacle at Toronto. In part, just an awful shooting night. But the Pacers have not looked very good since Oladipo got back. Hopefully they can pull it together and have good playoff showing. That doesn't even mean winning a series, depending on the matchup. But just competing as opposed to last year against Boston. That said, right now I'm not at all confident that will happen.
  21. Have a great time! Haven't been to the BB in years. More recently have seen some B-town shows @ the Bishop bar.
  22. As poorly as we've been playing, that's a situation you need to step up and take advantage of. I'd honestly have been a little disappointed in a loss despite the crappy play and accompanying losing streak. If you can't get up for the best team in the NBA at home (looming ASB or no), then we really would have some crisis-level discussion.
  23. Good to break the negative momentum. Hoping they can keep it up and continue to gel after the break. Aggressive throughout this one. Haven't been able to say that in a while.
  24. I think that was the Puerto Rican flag. Puerto Ricans are American citizens and she is Puerto Rican (born in NY).
