  1. I just saw on twitter that Dick will start the game at the free throw line shooting for a flopping call against IU and after seeing the non goal tending call against us Bill Self has literally put a lid on the rim.

It would have been interesting to see any other angle or overhead shot

There is an angle from right behind a ref standing under the basket opposite Trey and you can tell its right on line and still above the rim and CLEARLY on the way down. Forgive me i cant find it again.

  3. These refs are forking bull spit!!!  How do you let a guy grab the ball out of the rim and choke on your whistle like a Vegas street walker then call the horse crap flopping call after the guy has been throwing elbows all damn game!!  🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Have you watched him today?  They are blowing by him anytime he is on the ball

Ya, ill give you he had a bad half but defense has been his calling card so far. Not ready to put him in the JBJ/Jay Edwards catagory.

Did anyone think that when he transferred here, though?

No, i believe the HSN scouting collective had him pegged as Matt Roth 2.0 ......which again, wouldnt piss me off to go with the team we have now.

But your point is well made and i wasnt trying to disprove it.

There is talk out there that DD is likely headed to Bloomington fwiw. We'll see how things play out the next few days.

If DD is headed our way, if he ends up being a below average shooter, i hope his shot looks more jacked up than Stan Robinson trying to shoot right handed. Not sure how many more players i can handle having Corvette form with Chevette results. 🤣

I agree with you, but could also play devils advocate in the could JG be the new version of Hanner Perea? Insanely athletic and oozes talent, but never puts it together? I’m of the kind that no one should be forced off the team except for being bad for the team. I want to win as much as anyone, but forcing players out is not the way to do it IMO.

I would rather keep JG over Dennis, but I do get the appeal. Just hope that if JG stays, he is working on his handles and perimeter defense. That’s what will hold him back from taking his game to a truly high level.

I think Jordan has already shown WAY more on both ends of the floor than Hanner did.  Im not saying he doesnt have things he needs to improve on, but a much better player the second he stepped on campus than HP ever was.

Shooting is needed but scoring is a necessity and there is more than one way to score.

I saw a small clip of JJ Redick talking about how some people complain that there is no defense in the NBA and that its not because players arent trying in the NBA but there is SOOOO much better spacing. He also added that the college game hasnt evolved at all. Teams (not just Duke) are still running the same stuff they did when he was there.

So ill agree shooting isnt the only way to score, but we need that skill upgraded accross the board to give our work horses room to do what they do best.

Without looking, Trey shot in the teens as a frosh with a hurt wrist and a wrap.  This season with a healed wrist and no wrap he shoots mid 20something.  It was cringed worthy, unreliable, and not respected.  He has to become respectable at a minimum.  He would be dangerous at 34 or better.  The form looked very much the same, just not injured and wrapped.  The numbers jumped back to his mean.  I think Bates can be respected.  Kopp already is.  I pray JHS performs at a respectable level as well because if he can just be sagged off of, he will struggle once B1G rolls around.  I have high hopes.

Plain and simple, i don't want a one dimensional guy either.  If Bates can develop great but banking on that is risky.

If I'm a mid major scoring guard that wants to prove myself, I look at Indiana and see no reason I can't come get 25 minutes here.

Not everyone is going to look like Steph Curry when they shoot. Reggie Miller and Larry Bird have some of the most god awful, funky shots in history but nobody would dare bet against it going in. On the other side of the coin, and ive said it before, Rob has the prettiest shot ive ever seen for somebody that couldnt throw it in the ocean off of a life raft.

I dont exactly want another Roth on the team, but id love to have a Ziesloft.
