  1. I’m aware. Think it’s a dead end job and he could do better.
  2. What about a tackle to protect Williams?
  3. Will they sit at 9 and take BPA? Or trade back to replace the 2nd rounder they gave up ?
  4. Guessing Northwestern and Stanford wont be on Duggy’s final list of schools…
  5. I’m OK with it. Giving up a day 2 pick AND premium long term money for a corner with supposed long term knee questions isn’t a great idea.
  6. And the Bears got even less for Fields than I thought. https://x.com/adamschefter/status/1769131924717478314?s=46&t=9TDA0mwpdydYQk2Mf6MS6w
  7. Hope he does. If he’s a late bloomer like his dad, it will only help him.
  8. I assume Jack grew up an IU fan? How is his defense, both individually and as part of the team’s defense? That will determine whether he sees the court next year.
  9. Oh … Mick. Yeah he’s a great coach. From the Midwest, has recruited the area… Still young enough to stay while… Only problem I could see is now that UCLA is in the B1G, they SHOULD be able to match any offer from another school. But who knows if they’ll want to. They’re arrogant enough to think that coaches should want to take a pay cut to come there.
  10. Chris Mack? You don’t want him. Product of the Xavier system. Plus he cheated his ass off, and once NIL came around his “competitive advantage” went bye bye…
  11. Now this is why I visit this board. Well that, and bickering about Ballard’s roster construction with you. 😃 Black’s in Austin and Joes in KC are 2 of the better BBQ joints I have been to. In Indy, I really love Smokin Barrel and Trax.
  12. That sucks man. Hoping you get help from the specialist.
  13. Feel bad for the kid. Awful timing. Julius Gizzi is another 2025 to keep an eye on, even if it’s as a future transfer if he starts out at a smaller school. Scorer with great bloodlines - Mom and dad both played at LaSalle.
  14. Seems to be a man with character and integrity.
  15. No, not at all. Almost all of the Purdue fans I know are also Purdue grads, but there are exceptions, of course. I guess I’m referring to the IU basketball fans/Notre Dame football fans that went to neither school, that are prevalent in the northern half of the state. Used to work with a guy who was obnoxious about those 2 teams… and he went to Ball State.
  16. I get it. I only post on these boards because you guys really do have informed posters, for the most part. Feels like there are a lot of actual IU grads on here, like some of the guys I know in real life. I don’t live and die with this stuff anymore, so I tend to look at these things more analytically than I did in my 20s and 30s. The great thing is both programs are in one of the Have conferences, and not one of the Have Not conferences, so going and getting a proven coach should be easier than ever.
  17. Well ideally, but that means you would have needed to get your 1,2 and 3 out of the portal. Mack isn’t a 3.
  18. Reminds me of Terone Johnson after Hummel, Moore and Johnson were gone. Really good as the 3rd perimeter option, struggled as the 1st perimeter option. Not his fault, just like it’s not Galloways fault. To me, the ideal lineup would have been TG at the 3, Mack at the 4, KW at the 5, with Reneau backing up at the 4 and 5. That way his defense is less exposed going against other backups. And then 2 portal guards at the 1 and 2, after letting X go. With Cupps, Leal and Gunn backing up 1-3.
  19. Probably would help if he was able to make the hire without interference from folks pushing their old cronies.
  20. If you keep Woody because of the 2025 recruits, you are committing to TWO more seasons, because if you fire him after the 2024-25 season those 2025 signees will all be released from their LOIs anyway. To me the bigger question is do you want Dolson making the next hire.
  21. I swear that guy takes Purdue’s opponent and the points every time he refs us. He usually doesn’t cost us the game but we almost never cover.
  22. The Colts need so much talent still, just take the BPA at a premium position, whether corner, Receiver, edge, even an offensive tackle. Supposedly a deep receiver draft, so maybe you wait until Friday to get one.
  23. You misunderstood me. I am fine with drafting a corner in round 1. What hasn’t worked is Ballard going into a draft with glaring needs and being hell bent on getting someone at a certain position because we HAVE to get someone. I truly think Ballard would be really good at just drafting BPA, if he went into the draft with all the pressing needs filled.
