  1. I actually said Fran “prospect” not project. Looks like a kid he would love. Great handler and shooter, and maybe just adequate defensively. Athletically, he seems fine, he just looks smaller than most B1G guards. Guys built like Isaiah Thompson and Jordan Hulls can tend to get abused on the defensive end. But he is 18 months away from playing, so lot of time to get stronger.
  2. HEY!! 😀 I like him offensively, but his size concerns me on defense. Looks like a Fran prospect to me.
  3. Bob Knight did as much as any coach could have done to run a clean program. A distant relative of mine ran a car dealership in Bloomington, and used to loan cars to players all the time in the 50s and 60s, rode on the team plane, watched practice, etc. Knight booted him as far out of the program as he could, kicked him off the team plane, out of practice, and ordered the players to stay away from him. Though he eventually became good friends with Knight later, he was never a “friend of the program” again.
  4. Wow. I’d rather have Franklin than the rest of them put together. He’s a 2 way stud.
  5. Barnhizer is gonna be a stud at NW. Might be able to help save Collins’s job.
  6. “Knight’s use of profanity and verbal abuse to his players is well documentented, along with a history of racist and sexist comments and actions throughout his time at IU.” ”Racist”? Really? That’s quite the accusation from the IU student newspaper. Hope they can back it up.
  7. The man can be entertaining. He was better at analyzing hoops when he stuck to the game instead of trying to be the next Dickie V.
  8. Is Dakich on meds? He seems to have wild mood swings. Doesn’t seem like a bad guy, just a bit all over the map.
  9. I have always hated the Pats, Brady and Belichick, and figured Brady was a product of the Pats system. But looking at this season... maybe Brady WAS the system?
  10. Looks just like Bobby or Geno screaming at the refs back in the day, but with a mask under his chin. Seriously tho, when ESPN interviewed him during the draft...seemed a bit off...
  11. I’ve always thought he was one of us.😆
  12. We ended up going to Mother Bears. The girls had gone there after a soccer game in Bloomington several years ago, but it was my first trip. Yummy. Had a good pie and a local IPA that was tasty.
  13. Well, I’m back. Our daughter is insisting we take her down to The Other School today... need to figure out dinner plans after an afternoon walking the campus. Anyone know which of the above recommendations are or are not open for dine-in ?
  14. No, I just read through the last page of the thread. Was curious if anyone knew why he wouldn’t at least go through the process and get feedback.
  15. I’m sure Caleb would like to have played more, but he’s made over $5 million and is 23 years old. Not a bad place to be.
  16. You really don’t know that there aren’t cases near you. In fact, I’d guarantee that there are. You can have it for a week or more without showing symptoms.
  17. Yeah I know, but would be nice if she joined her older brother in WL, if only from a purely logistical standpoint. And it will be hard to write “Indiana University” on a check...
  18. Unfortunately, looking like I might have quite a few trips to Bloomington in my future...starting in August of 2021, and I’ll be bringing my checkbook with me...
  19. Well I had a Stella draft and a beam and coke at the show... does that count? Didn’t make it to the Irish Lion, my brother and I both had to work the next day so we took off for Indy right after the show... guess we’re getting old.
  20. Had an awesome time in Bloomington on Thursday night. Great meal at Little Tibet, then a killer show by Durand Jones and the Indications.(homegrown soul outfit who I HIGHLY recommend seeing if you have not already) Bluebird is a great venue. Lot of history there, can’t wait to go back.
