I'm not suggesting to lock it. If there is a programming way to add a button, that all I have to do is select "hide thread" and I never have to click through certain threads. I don't know about all of yall but i literally read every thread. Would love to never see this one again for instance, peguins and all.
Yes, if there is an unread thread I open it.

While exhibitions can be a tough predictor of things to come, I think we saw just about everything we could hope for this past week.
- 2 (possibly 3) Freshmen look like they will be able to contribute meaningful minutes. [check]
- Shooting appears to be better. Sure they are playing against inferior defenses and are more comfortable, but shots are going in. [check]
- JHS. This kid seems to have a high ceiling. I knew he was good, but I’m not sure I expected him to be this good. Our missing piece has been a play maker for so many years. X started to show glimpses last season, but JHS seems to be a guy who won’t be sped up in the moment. We need that Keegan Murray/Ayo/Branham type killer. I can’t check this box yet, but if JHS is that guy, watch out B1G.
I don't know if JHS will be that type of scorer. However, I think he will be able to STOP those kind of scorers. That is also something that has been missing recently.
This isn't aimed at you, just at the board in general: I'm glad people are getting on the Reneau train. I can't believe people thought he'd only be getting 15mpg and would be playing behind JG. He's good. Really good. We need him to get a lot of PT.
This team replaced 3 mid-major players and an under performing senior with 2 borderline 5*s, another top 100 recruit, and a 3* who looks like he'll eventually be good. Should be a much better team this year.

It wouldn’t let me last game. Idiot me thought the eastern start time was central, so I was an hour late to the game. Wouldn’t let me start it from the beginning, had to pick up where it was at live.
B1G+ is garbage.

I'm glad IU finally has a guy everyone else wishes they had. At least Race is a likeable good sported kid. I think he either took a redshirt or medical redshirted.
Yes, he reclassified to come to IU early but then redshirted his first season, at least partially due to a lingering injury from HS.

I don't really have a problem talking about other teams' recruits or, in this case, ex-recruits, but it is surprising that this conversation is still going on like a week or more later. He's not going to play for either of the Indiana B1G schools.

Heard from many HS coaches how impossible parents can be…..college has to be 100 times worse
If I were him I would beg her to stop
nothing good can come from your mom posting on FB
jeff George got crushed for his mom checking on her concussed son on the sideline
To be fair, Jeff George was an a$$ regardless of what his parents did.

Yep. He mentioned in the article not having the confidence before. I'm thinking that was an Archie problem.
I agree with you. "Lack of confidence" would be a pretty good description of Miller's IU teams.

Actually slower drivers have proven to be more dangerous. On highways and interstates anyway.
A few years ago when Google was testing self-driving cars, a lot of the accidents they got into were from getting rear-ended while getting onto or off of freeways. The reason was they were driving too slow, slower than drivers were expecting.

Have a great what? I can't have a great anything if I dont know what it's supposed to be! Now, I'm going to stress all day about what I'm supposed to have a 'great' about.
Thanks for ruining my day.
There are two types of people:

I was most impressed by Malik. Looked to be very composed for his first college game ever.
Take that talk to the Xavier Johnson arrest thread where it belongs. We're talking about Xavier Johnson's arrest here, don't interrupt.

Getting personal/demeaning regarding where teenage boys decide to go to school is always a bad look and Purdue and IU fans on these sites alike are at times guilty of this. It’s creepy and inappropriate at best, boarder-line criminal at worst. I won’t criticize this lady for her comment because having to read the awful things about her son online is something I thankfully haven’t had to endure. Rather than call her crazy for her response perhaps some reflection on what would drive her to such public comments is in order. All fan bases are guilty of it and it’s sad. This is a game played by kids, more people need to act accordingly
Yep. It reads to me like a mom sticking up for herself and her son after getting tired of people talking s#!t about them

Wasn’t sure whether to post this in the NBA thread or not, but I think TJD could really benefit from adding some elements of Jokic’s game to his. He’s a phenomenal passer and can turn a standard defensive rebound into a fast break opportunity with his vision and awareness. Woodson wants to run a fast paced offense and having this ability could really enhance it.
I just saw a recent interview of TJD by AJ Guyton. One of the things TJD says they've really been working on is improving his passing. That probably includes other passes to start fast breaks.

What really sucks is that I have 2 fairly new Samsung TVs, and the Big 10+ app is not available for either... I have to dig out an old Chromecast I have somewhere to cast the game to my TV...
Stupid... Why is the app only available to certain platforms?
Because it's a garbage, half-assed product in the first place. It takes very little money to run and developing apps costs money. It's just a money grab as shown by the ridiculous $10/month they charge.

So, that didn't just come out of thin air, right? There HAD to be conversations whether it be with Woodson, an asst coach, or Hulls about transportation, hotels, etc. Everything.
I just haven't seen any evidence to be upset.
This update says Newell hears from IU coaches daily.

Actually they are discussing it on field of 68 and I actually agree with Jeff Goodman for once. Both him and Robbie Hummel both thinks it is a horrible idea to expand and they think it should go back to 64
I'm shocked that you would think that. Shocked, I say.

Once or twice a month seems pretty reasonable.
Except it's not even that often from what the recruits say.

Who's to say that he doesn't? I'm sure he's in contact earlier, but the obvious truth is that he can't be everywhere, all at once. That's what assistants are for... there needs to be a hierarchy and system of evaluation/exclusion so that CMW isn't wasting his time.
But to agree on one thing, he is a damn fine closer because he does connect with most of his players on a solid level.
The recruits say he isn't. Several have commented about how they had only talked to CMW once or twice after several months of recruiting. Are the recruits just making it up?

Coach Woodson is definitely loved by his players.
I also like that someone in that thread re-tweeted it to Liam McNeely - it's a recruiting advantage very few have.
True, which makes it kind of confusing to me that he mostly just acts like a closer in recruiting and makes his assistants do almost all of the contact. It seems like he should be talking to them more than he does and earlier in the process to build up relationships. He's obviously good at that with his players.

I am a Reds fan and been to Cincinnati many tes and the city is not impressive at all. Well IU basketball has won 3 championships since UC last won one. IU is rated one of the most beautiful college campus in the country and UC is in a bad part of a city
IU's last championship was also before any of today's recruits were born.
I know when I was choosing a college that the look of the campus had zero influence on my decision. It might matter to some, but I doubt it is a major factor of very many recruits.
Relationships, money, playing style, playing time, etc. are probably much more important.

How was Craft's defense as a freshman? Was he all-conference at that time?
I don't think anyone is saying he can't develop into a good defender, it's that people don't think he will be this season as a freshman. Typically, very good freshmen defenders are good because they are very athletic and can use that athleticism to recover from mistakes. Smith doesn't have that type of athleticism. Could he end up being over of the exceptions? Sure. Is it likely? No.
