Is it just me or is the board still not fixed? It's Nov 14th now and I still can't get past page one of any topic. I see there are multiple pages. If you post, how can anyone see it and/or answer you if they can't get past page one like me? Just asking.
Still not fixed but I'm sure they're working on it. Intermittent issues like this can be difficult to solve.

Charleston 6 for 9.
Carolina 27 for 38.
Final score 102 - 86, UNC.
That game against UNC is looking very winnable.

A couple of interesting storylines in our game against Xavier.
1. Sean Miller (Archie’s brother) is now their coach - don’t think he’d like to win for the Arch do you?
2. Jerome Hunter starts for the Musketeers - I’m sure he feels like he was run off by CMW. Sure hope he doesn’t pull a Bohannon on us!
Can’t wait!
I'm not afraid of Hunter. His stats last year were pretty comparable to, or worse, than this stats during his time at IU, which wasn't good.

UNC losing to College of Charleston by 5 halfway through the 1st...
UNC was actually a pretty mediocre team last season and were only an 8 seed in the NCAAT. They just happened to get hot at the right time. Kind of like UCLA a few years ago. The question about them is is whether or not that would carry over into this season. I don't think it has, also like UCLA.

I'm curious as to why the title of this thread is what it is.

Could have been. For some reason I thought it was when us and Ohio St were top 5 teams and we won over there. Definitely could be wrong though. That was about 19k Coors Lights ago.
I've been trying to find it but no luck. I remember loving that play at the time so I want to see it again. Such a smart move.

I think it was at Ohio St in early 90's. When the clock wouldn't stop after made shot...Bailey ran the clock out standing out of bounds for final 4+ seconds. Thought to myself how smart he was in that moment to do that.
I thought that was in the NCAAT and then the rule change was implemented that summer in response.
Edit: He probably did that multiple times. The one I'm remembering didn't have him holding the ball out of bounds as the game ended. Instead, he was slow to pick up the ball then slowly walked out of bounds.

Good to see them able to pull out a win in such a close game.

We might be the ones that are insane for paying it. I'm questioning my decision to antie up.
And FYI, for those who plan on cancelling, do it soon, as you've seen the last game on BTN- for MBB.
Your best bet is to cancel right after signing up. That way you don't forget.

I can also verify this and add in that Chrome can recover from an unexpected closure by restoring all of those tabs.
I might have a problem... Is tab users anonymous a thing?

Why are we talking IU basketball in this thread? Geez.
Title threads are merely suggestions about what to discuss, I think. Actually, on this site I think they're suggestions of what not to discuss.

Alford's 4 years
1) 171-289 .592
2) 232-431 .538
3) 241-457 .556
4) 241-508 .474 overall 107-202 .520 from 3
Dude. No one is saying that Alford wasn't a great shooter. Just the opposite, in fact. What is being said is that IU has had some other great shooters. These other shooters, such as Green, were so good that it's not beyond debate who the best shooter at IU has been. You're defending Alford so much that it seems like you're taking this as some insult on Alford. It's not that.

Just thought it was funny that he took his best year out. Why don't you take each players first 3 years stats
It wasn't to "take his best year out." It was to compare stats of the sophomore through senior seasons, in other words, the 3 years Green was able to play. It is just coincidence that it was Alford's best year by shooting percentage.

Did you miss the "apples to apples" part? That is why the freshman stats weren't included.

Parker Stewart was ejected from their opening loss at Pitt. He finished with 9 points, 5 to's and 0-3 from 3. Phinisee had 3 points and 8 assists off the bench in a win over Chaminade.
I don't miss Stewart at all.

Since it's being called a "button thing" by an admin, I guess it makes sense that's not working properly.

Edey missed 9 shots, but had 10 offensive rebounds 😂
I saw that when I looked at the box score. I was wondering if he was just rebounding his own misses to pad his stats lol

And, in Coach Woodson's words, "he competes." He wants to win, he knows how to win, and he's not going to accept anything else.
Some of my posts may get misconstrued concerning our 2 senior big guys and effort, but I think Woody sees it sometimes. He chewed Trayce's arse last night when he sent him to the bench. I'd love to know what was said, but it sure wasn't a pat on the back.
Coach Woodson constantly says what he loves most about all of the freshmen is that they compete. JHS and Malik couple that with advanced basketball skills and IQ. They never "turn it off."
If y'all remember, Coach Woody had to "turn it on" for Trayce a couple of times during the BTT.
I think as the season rolls along and we have success, that competitive streak and that will to win JHS and Malik brought with them from Montverde will infect the whole team...
A huge shift in culture that these freshmen, along with a few others like Galloway, can bring is consistent effort on the court. So many times in the last few years, including last year, is that the team has had issues competing hard for the full 40 minutes. Also, a tendency to play to the opponent's level. The combination of the competitive nature of JHS and Reneau as well as their being used to winning along with the depth they and the other freshmen bring should hopefully help change that. Just that would result in a few more wins.

Board issues
in General Basketball Discussion
Posted
2 reasons I could see your post:
1) I always jump directly to the first unread post of threads. In this case, that was yours.
2) Even if I hadn't done #1, I have no issues with this board on this computer (knock on wood) so I'd have been able to navigate to it. Like I said above, it's a difficult problem because it's intermittent. It doesn't affect all users, devices, or browsers. Reading the posts in this thread, it's not even consistently 1 browser or OS it affects. Sometimes on my phone and other computer I don't have the issue but sometimes I do.
So you can try #1 to skip pages you've already seen. You can also use "open link in new tab" to go to the next page if it won't let you on your device.
