So is Luke Goode official? I have seen a couple of things, but nothing from he, himself. Or any of the other Major outlets.

I just can't believe you're actually bothered by what Bardo said. That's light.
I cant imagine some people being so butthurt about this. To feel so offended about Bardo saying to basically chill, take a beat on bashing Woody long enough to see what he is doing this offseason. Enough to then in turn call out the people that have excitement about this offseason. Are you really that pissed off we have had a successful offseason?
Oh yah... transfers and stuff. Luke Goode, and things.

God forbid we get a little excited about the amount of talent we have brought in this off season. Shame on us.

It appears CTM is staying with her approach.... 3 point shooters. I think it's great. Big portal gets. We will be good. the question becomes can we compete with the big athletic girls with the likes of South Carolina and upper echelon teams?

I feel like depending on who you ask, the range of what makes a team/program elite can differ widely. I think the last 3+ years, we’ve been an elite team/program. Remains to be seen if we can maintain it.
Upper echelon. Absolutely. But Elite program and 3 years is not really synonymous. I think if you want to cut it down to 3 years, you have to make it passed the sweet 16 more than once.... aka make it to the ELITE eight.

Who ever talked Woodson into that one is a dumbass and should be fired today. if thats true.
who would you get in that position? Who could you get with the 13th scholarship? You want them to use #13 on Tim Priller?
There is a difference in realistic options with mutual interest vs what the fans want vs what the staff wants.
I am with you... if there is a freshman project out there that wants to come... give it to him. But finding that person that is interested in coming to play 0 minutes, with little money will not be an easy task.
I think about the only way you fill that last scholarship is an in state, under the radar, high school kid. Which I would be perfectly okay with.

The way the Purdue guys come on here and suck the toes of MP while they prop him up on this untouchable pedestal, it has almost reached the limits of Chuck Norris-isms
The onion cries when MP cuts them.
MP can parallel park a train.
MP tears cure cancer. Too bad MP never cries.

I also see #2 & #3. Hope that experiment crashes and burns and Nutgers sucks for the next hundred years. That's how little I think of the douchebag Harper family.
not sure how their playing style fits with the bully ball Rutgers plays that has made them semi successful.

I'd prefer a better rim protector, but I think this kid has two years left.
Dream would be a rim protector with some outside game.
Wish would be a rim protector or someone with outside game
What we will probably get is someone like this guy. Just a big body for 5 minutes a game. We dont have many minutes to sell. Ballo 25, MR 10...? for the 5.
For the 4 you have MR at 20, MM 5-10, Goode 5-10

They are also getting a good amount to do that. Leal seems very smart and is probably using it for future real estate endeavors
That’s what I mentioned in my post.

Who knows what the NIL landscape is going to look like in 2 years, let alone 10?
half this board is speculative. I am just saying Walmart and FedEx are going to be around a lot longer than Ken Nunn.

I think when people say "shooter", they mean "3 point shooter". Most do anyway.
yah, they really aren't referring to Brandon Miller and Darius Miles.

I read that and I was like 5mil? That’s like two football players and a basketball player to be named later?🤷♂️
This may not seem like much now, but in 10 years where does IU stand to the likes of corporate NIL deals in bigger cities?

You make a good point and it is interesting to see the difference in philosophy of our programs going forward. I personally love how CMP is still building it through the HS ranks and supplementing through the portal with a Lance Jones for example. I think a guy like Kanon Catchings would’ve been more heavily pursued an Illinois/IU pre-portal days for example. I do wonder how much different the portal will look after the COVID year goes away.
It will be interesting to see how much MP changes strategies throughout post ice cream boy.

This is strange to say, but....aside from top 25 level high school prospects, I'm not really that worried about it. Why take a chance on a kid out of high school when you could get a proven player from the portal?
I agree with this to an extent, but I dont want to rebuild a roster of 6 guys from the portal every year. In state kids especially with the level of talent that Sisley has, are the type to build around and less likely to transfer generally speaking. In state/home connection, with PT, with $$$. No reason to go somewhere else.
This year we have 3-4 starters from the portal. I think we hit homeruns, but I cant see that happening every year. Sisley and Sisley type players would bring a bit more stability.
Yes you could say... what about CJ Gunn. And I would say... well Gallo came back to possibly come off the bench, and Leal came back for 5 minutes a game.

Out of curiosity: Who would you all rather have? Anderson or Goode? If it's one or the other.
Initially I thought Anderson.
But there's something to be said about an in state kid and the glaringly awesomeness potential of Goode torching Illinois.

This is why women’s basketball is soaring. Not just Clark but all of women’s basketball. Holmes at IU for so many years and Tyra before her. Chloe staying and even with Syd transferring in and Scalia they built a home at IU.
you could be right, but i think we look at it in a vacuum and it's coincidental that IU WBB is becoming good, and Clarke came through as a generational talent at the same time.
I dont think women's BBall is soaring because of the men's NIL

I still think there are no less than 15 mins a game for Goode and some games 20 mins+.... Tucker is a FR, Malik has foul trouble, and Goode is be our 1st or 2nd best shooter.
Maybe Notre Dame can offer more than that, but I think the minutes are there, I really do.
It will depend on match ups and foul trouble situations. I think he can get 10-15 at the 4 and 5-10 at the 3. It would be hard to keep someone on the bench if he is shooting 38% from 3 on 5-8 attempts/game.
Line up of Rice, Carlyle, Goode, MM, Ballo seems tasty to me. I would want to see that at least 10-15 a game.

At this point we have enough talent and no glaring holes I’m not sure if any one of those guys would even take a second look at IU. They aren’t coming to IU to share minutes. They want to go somewhere to play 30+ and be 1-2 option. I say solidify the roster now if there are options.
