Is Perkins local? I am not familiar with where he is from? Did he initially want to be at IU? I didn't follow his recruitment.
Perkins committed to Iowa as a three-star guard, ranked No. 314 in the nation out of Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Ind.
I dont think we chased him too hard.

dont come at me, just a suggestion. Can we use full names for a while, for the people not as in tuned. This is not for me. Okay it is. It is for me, but there are too many damn names to follow.

That was the whole reasoning behind this post haha.
Not sure if they are in the same position as they were then. I thought John Ruiz was the biggest backer, and he is in some trouble

Miami has entered the chat for Perkins. Does this become a bidding war? how much does Perkins want to come home?

"Mgbako became one of two freshmen in the NCAA to score over 400 points, make at least 50 3-pointers, convert on 90-plus free throws, and grab at least 125 rebounds. One of two Hoosiers to start all 33 games, he’d go on to average 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 27.1 minutes per game."
"As a reminder of those rules, a player like Mgbako needs to enter the draft by April 27, he can utilize an agent, if invited can attend the draft combine May 13-19, and he’d have until June 16 to either stay in the draft or return to college."

My post 3 years ago on Fakebook when I found out they hired Woodson!
Indiana hires Mike Woodson as it's new coach. The dude has never coached college, has never recruited and hasn't won anything plus he is 63 years old.You can't fix stupid when it comes to Indiana basketball.Congratulations. You were right. You won a miserable '23-'24 basketball season
To be fair. I don't believe anyone was elated about the hire.

its easier to say and remember Taco than his real name. Case Closed. chill
We make fun of Woodson for not being able to remember names, and then there's this excuse.

meh, disagree but i feel like recently you disagree with everything. All i said is basketball courts should be the same color and so should football fields. Not saying they should all be the same size or shape. But its my opinion and that is all it is. Its something i don't like. You don't have to agree. Feel free to like whatever you want my man. Have a great day
my opinion is worth just as much as yours, which they both mean squat. My point was the colors on the floor effects 0% of the game and the differences in a baseball field have a much more drastic impact of the actual game.
nonetheless, the colors of the floor (Oregon) and the size of the gym (Cameron Indoor circa 1940) is a part of their tradition, albeit Oregon's is a lot more recent.
Infact, I would LOOOOOOVE IU to do something different, like maybe paint the end zone candy stripe.
I didn't mean to offend you, by expressing my opinion, just like you did yours.

Some of the places i have seen NIT games in feel like high school gyms. And honestly, the NCAA should require all floors to be exactly the same. No Oregon floor, no Boise State football turf, etc..
eh... i say leave it be. if they want ugly let them. What's next all baseball fields need to be the same? Home court is home court. let them paint it however they want. Cameron Indoor only holds 890 more people than New Castle and Cameron is considered a top 10 venue by a lot of people.

As names go….could be worse
eh but there is a negative connotation with the incident that happened. You may be able to get away with it within a friend circle, but it's fairly distasteful as a fan to call him that. No Purdue fan calls Isaac Haas Herpes, or Caleb Swan-ganga.

I give up. too many sources, different lists. I cant keep track. Inside the Hall has Skyy Clark as a target. First I'm seeing of that.

@btownqb I havent really been following too much. I know it has been a bit of a disappointing year this far, but where does IU stand in terms of postseason. B1G starting soon?

so i guess just for fun, in my not very informed opinion...and if it was based only on the guys available now...and only the ones we seem to have interest/contact with, i'd say these 7 would be my pick to fill our roster:
Bryson Tucker
Kanaan Carlyle
Amari Williams
Cade Tyson
Frankie Fidler
Malik Dia
Jordan Sears
Then again, that would still only give us one legit PG. I guess Perkins should be toward the top? What other PGs toward the top? Is Walker that good? Slajchert? Hickman?
Malik Mack is my personal #1

Is he a replacement for Mac if he gets good NBA feedback (or transfers) or Woody simply looking to build the best/deepest roster possible?
Purely me just thinking, but for Mac wouldnt it be NBA/Pro or return to IU. I haven't seem his name in the portal. Usually kids declare and enter transfer portal at the same-ish time.

So, why did Thad step away when he did? I'm indifferent on Fife, but losing Thad when we did was a red flag about the direction of the program in my mind.
didn't he leave for Butler AD?
I should leave this to the people that know, but i am bored at work and can't mind my own business.

info was "created" to support getting rid of him and not have the fan base that many loved Fife in revolt.
Ahhhh makes sense. Woodson didn't want him. Why create a split in the fanbase. Embellish things for causation.

@RoadToZion @DC2345 wasn't there also issues Fife was creating with recruits....? For some reason i thought i recalled something with filipowski or something.
I just thought there were a bunch of things, not one of those things individually being a see yuh later, but adding up of all the things?

There's a haphazard-ness to Blazi's game that reminds me a bit of Troy Williams. Just that desire to fly all around the court and then bang on someone.
And I don't see that as a negative. Sure, he's rough around the edges. And maybe given the lack of certainty of more established players on the roster at this point in time, including him isn't the best decision, but I do think having someone capable of creating havoc is a nice element for a team to have. If nothing else, it provides a level of entertainment, which is the reason we all watch.
i was going to say Justin Smith, but i like your comparison.
