Heres the angle im talking about at the end of this clip.  Pretty guilty flex and lean in to the guys face while screaming.  Its typically not even a 50/50 call but with the chipiness and physicality that will get called, regardless of intent or past.

Regardless of intent, if anyone in the college basketball landscape deserve to "flex" on someone, it is TJD. I will take 1 T in 3 years. why is this even an issue?

If you are waiting on perfection you will be waiting for ever. No one is perfect just like no team or coaches are perfect

Scott, it was TIC, making fun of the fact that some fans here demand perfection not realizing that perfect does not exist in sports.

Only speaking about what the expectation level will be for him. It will be astronomical.

Not like "omg whyd he chose us, we suck". That's not how I meant to say that.

Check the post I was quoting.

100%. Last two highly recruited guards KL and bates. KL doesnt play and Bates is looking more and more like he shouldnt be.

Steals  are a worthless stat in general

Ivey goes for pick 6 steak all the time which is great when he gets it but leaves the defense exposed when he doesn’t

That's the issue, we are talking about different things. You're talking about jumping passing lanes. I am talking about deflections, which does not require jumping passing lanes.

FYI steals are not a worthless stat.

Oh, I get it. Pretty much a useless statistic,Imo. Crean’s teams could have excelled in deflections yet still given up tons of points.

Kinda like the guy who hits .300 but only drives in 45 runs. Looks good but really doesn’t help the team win

How many deflections lead to turnovers? is it 25% is it 10%? I think i read somewhere the goal is 35 deflections a game. I am sure you can do that math. the times it doesnt lead to a turnover, it disrupts the offense. A lot of college offenses waist the first 10-15 seconds of the play clock. you get a deflection mid set, it disrupts that set, now you have to set up an offense and try to get a decent shot within the remaining time limit.

Its the subsurface on some of these statics.

Blocking out doesnt necessarily lead to a rebound, but it sure does help.

    Not missing any of these.

I havent watched any of their games. IDK whats going on with their shooting. But thinking back to last year's Al and Franklin, there are moments where i think we could use these guys. Al may be an upgrade from Kopp, and yesterday Armaan running the point instead of XJ.

But yah, mostly they can kick rocks.

His minutes were on par with the rest of the games this season, but I think there was a 7-0 run for IU in the first half where he wasn’t in.

he came in later in the second half to help close game, but with Trey hopefully emerging, could very well cut into his minutes.

how would trey cut into XJ's minutes?

you would think it would be more of Kopp, P stew, and Bates. XJ, RP, or KL have to be on the floor to run the point
