  1. My guess, it was the highest rated bowling post match interview of all time.
  2. Have to come out with a purpose. This needs to be their best effort of the season.
  3. IWho are the overseas grown men recruit options IU is looking to add? Similar to the ones others seem to find every year.
  4. Hate that this team has put us in position to doubt their ability to win. Not sure why anyone would believe they have the discipline on either end of the court to pull this one out. They have the talent. They lack the skills and mental toughness to execute winning basketball for 40 minutes. Hope I'm wrong but that's been their story all season.
  5. I like CMW but it's fair to ask, what adjustments were made from the game 1 blowout to last night's blowout? They don't have the horses to match up with purdue this season. So why continue the normal tempo? Why keep pushing the ball into your next turnover or rushed shot? Why not try other defenses for a time just to save Trey's legs and protect Ware? I don't think it changes the outcome but at least it would look like they are trying to find a way to win.
  6. One team has a game plan to attack and get good shots for players who know what a good shot is and can hit them. The other team runs a weave until it's time to toss up a contested shot. That's enough for me tonight. I'll catch the low lights tomorrow.
  7. If anyone can explain IUs offense, I'd be glad to hear it.
  8. This is comical. About to pull the plug.
  9. Nothing shocking about the first half.IU has a good start, misses their threes, someone gets in foul trouble, team starts to fatigue and the game slips away. Extrapolate it to the second half and it will be ugly with about 12 minutes remaining. Hope I'm wrong. It does drive me crazy that IU continues to push the ball when things start falling apart, which leads to more turnovers and bad shots. Not enough quality guards to rely on. Trey gets tired and the rest just aren't good enough at this point.
  10. Going to need another big comeback. IU has to work harder to score than any team in the conference. They rarely get and knock down open shots. It's constant force inside and trying to score over one or more defenders. Meanwhile, purdue rebounds or gets a steal and heads up court. A pass or two later open three. The odds are always in favor of the team that gets the most open an uncontested shots. That's rarely IU this season.
  11. Ware? Silly foul. Buried under the bucket just let it go. Starting to slip away. Bad turnover freshman and forced shot transfer.
  12. Good timeout. Looking fatigued on their shots and settling early in the shot clock. Leal has been open from three but not getting the ball.Malik can't get caught under the basket and think he can force it up. The concern is Galloway is working hard on both ends and it's going ti be tough to carry that through to the end. If they hit just a couple of those missed threes it's a different game.

  14. Good start. One bad force on offense. A lot more motion and some easy baskets.
  15. Would be nice if there was a hint someone was ready to commit. As it is, not hearing anything for any class. Recruiting used to be fun to watch. Now the portal is the focus. The alleged recruiting gurus are a joke. Too many kids are no longer truly committed to the team. It's all about who will pay the most. Games on crappy streaming services. Teams jumping from one conference to another. Add it all up and college basketball is dying.
  16. Hoping for the best. It will take a big effort inside on D and on the boards. Having a hard time seeing how Ware and Malik stay out of foul trouble. If the guards can play at a high level and deny the entry passes, they may have a chance. Not something we've seen often enough. Guarding the three - let's see how the defensive average plays out in this one.
  17. Averages can lie. We've watched them against tournament level teams get lit up from three. The B1G has a small number of quality teams and a bunch looking up at the NIT, as it stands today. I wouldn't put a lot of value on that average. Just rewatch the games against the better teams. It's ugly.
  18. I want to give the team credit for fighting till the end. Any conf road win is a big plus. I also want to be realistic. They played much better in the second half after a horrible first half. But in the bigger picture it was a big comeback against a poor team that's reeling. It is what it is. If IU gets smacked this weekend by 20+ nobody will remember last night's win. As much as I want them to turn the corner, it seems unlikely they will suddenly learn to guard the three or shoot better. I'm hoping they solve the puzzle but reality says there are more bad games coming their way than good games. More Ls than Ws.
  19. Congrats to the team. I'd call tonight's performance rope a dope, but I don't think that's it.
  20. Sitting this one out. A win over a poor OSU team means very little. A loss means they've quit on CMW. Not interested in seeing either play out.
  21. Unless you can guarantee a high caliber coach is ready to sign, I'd give CMW one more chance to show he can construct a team. Add Queen, a PG that can control the game, and another shooter to go with McNeeley and they are back in the hunt.
  22. Nothing changes. The mistakes and poor play from the pre-season continue. No reason to believe this one will be different. Maybe I've seen this for too long now, but I'm not willing to watch this nonsense. This far into the season and as a team you have no desire or understanding of how to guard the three? No thanks
  23. Id like to say one injury to the PG was all it took to dismantle the season. But even with X they're not good enough. Too many holes in this team on both ends.
  24. Let's see who's available for IU. They're all must wins now.
