  1. I honestly think that virtually every foul called on Utah State has been legit. There are probably some that could have ben called on Purdue and haven't. But, Utah State has been fouling a lot.
  2. If you have any hopes our women can beat South Carolina, do not turn it to ESPN. They are up 56-15 against UNC. Still in 2nd quarter,
  3. Was looking at the women's bracket. Louisville was the only higher seed to lose in the Round of 64.
  4. Adding to what I posted above. Are Verlander and Scherzer the last of the workhorse starters that pitch into their late 30's and early 40's? Just doesn't seem like starters these days will ever be allowed to log the number of innings over the number of years that those guys have. And, compared to years gone by, Verlander and Scherzer wouldn't rank near the top of the list of workhorses.
  5. This list every year always interests me. It may be my imagination, but it seems like the number of 40+ names is much smaller than what it was when I was growing up. Where are the likes of Nolan Ryan, Carlton Fisk, Phil Niekro, and Julio Franco? Those guys played until their mid-40's and beyond. https://www.mlb.com/news/oldest-players-in-mlb-2024 1) J. Verlander - 41 2) J. Votto - 40 3) C. Morton - 40 4) M. Scherzer - 39 5) J. Turner - 39 6) D. Robertson - 38 7) D. Bard - 38 8.) A. Ottavino - 38 9) M. Carpenter - 38 10) C. Santana - 37
  6. Yeah. I had seen that when it happened.
  7. 26. The Rich Hill secret must be out.
  8. To clarify, not wanting May as head coach does not equate to wanting Woodson as head coach.
  9. With 3 National Championships, a passionate fan base, and a NBA quality arena.
  10. Are you counting 2021 as both an Elite 8 and a Sweet 16? It's not usually counted that way. In any event, yes he also made the Sweet 16 in 2022. But, it's worth noting Michigan was 17-14 entering the tournament. Everyone happy with 17-14 raise their flipper.
  11. Didn't you say the same thing when they hired Juwan Howard?
  12. Oakland blew their opportunity at the end of regulation. No way screw up that set that bad.
  13. That, and the ramped it up with 3 missed foul calls,
  14. Rocket Watts over-dribbled that last possession. Did nothing to initiate the offense.
  15. NCAA officiating is ridiculously bad.
  16. Depends on day versus night. I prefer first base side, field level. But, if it's during the day, you will need to be in the last 5-6 rows to be out of the sun. It can get really, really warm if not. And, as Scott said, Right field is the best if you prefer an outfield view. Once again, that would be better for night games. Who's your team?
  17. 12. I didn't even think about doing an all Reds grid until after I did the first row. Bench for Catcher MVP would have hurt my score, but I still regret not doing it. Geronimo getting 3% surprises me. Thought it would have been lower than that.
  18. mlb.com putting the teams in tiers. I truly do not get the placement of the Cardinals. With the Reds injuries, I would have the Cubs #1 in the Central, but the Reds #2, with a path to #1 if they get heathy. The Cards just are not as good as those two teams.
  19. I will always be thankful for Wisconsin beating UK's undefeated team in the Final Four. But, my goodness, they have laid some ugly turds in the tournament over the years.
