  1. The Mid-Southern, the conference in question, has 9 teams. 6 are in Class 3A. 3 are in Class 2A. Classes are based on enrollment. Conference alignment is not class dependent to allow for teams that move up or fall in enrollment.
  2. David Bell pinch hits Nick Martini in the 8th. Perfect. Martini hits a 2 run double. Puts the Reds up by 2. Then, he proceeds to do what may be the most idiotic managerial move I've ever seen. He doesn't let Martini stay in the game to play right field. Rather, he puts Jake Fraley into the game into Martini's spot in the batting order. That's Jake Fraley, your last left-handed bat left on the bench. That's Jake Fraley, your best clutch hitter last year, who now has virtually no chance whatsoever to bat in the 9th if you need him against the Nats Right-Handed closer. Of course, we now know what happens. Diaz blows the lead and the Reds don't have Fraley's bat available unless they go 8 hitters deep in the 9th. That's ignorant. Martini is an outfielder. He easily could have stayed in the game after his pinch hit. Just unreal.
  3. I came on here to ask you. Do you know if that's ever been done in the same year? Congrats to the Braves. My son and I had planned on going to all the sessions today, But, I was sick Thursday and Friday. Felt better today, but needed to get my lawn mowed since I couldn't do it the previous two days.
  4. I used 4 Hall of Famers and a 5th that would have been if not for a gambling addiction. It's amazing how little the younger crowd know about baseball history. And, it pays to be a fan of a small market team. While I can use 5 Reds and score low if I used 5 Yankees, I'm hitting high score on several of these categories.
  5. Actually, 'Jake's Astonishing Bracket' is in second. We don't have a 'Jake' on here. I think if that bracket wins because UConn beats Purdue in the final, the championship trophy should be given to the 2nd place team. In that scenario, that would be me.
  6. All Category grids can be easy. 6.
  7. Fight scene in An Officer and a Gentleman
  8. I'm indifferent to Ravech and Cone, but I think Perez is really, really good. In my opinion, his insight is near the top of analysts. I listen to the MLB channel on satellite radio on the way to work. Perez is on a lot in the mornings and I prefer him to any of the others that they rotate into that morning show.
  9. One of those guys I've never heard of.
  10. @IUFLA you got me by 1 today. 20 for me.
  11. Not what Cubs fans wanted to see from Justin Steele on Opening Day.
  12. There goes my bracket. I needed 'Zona to go to the Final Four.
  13. It's the way the game is played nowadays whether we like it or not.
  14. I picked UConn. The strategy I used when two team were in the same tier was to pick the team closest to the tier line in front of them. When I got to the Final 4 and everyone was Tier 1, without another tier 'in front', I sided with Offense over Defense. So, my Final Four matchups were UConn over Arizona and Purdue over Houston, with UConn winning over the Boilers in a close one.
  15. Was able to read part of this post without my reading glasses. Increasing my carrot intake must be working.
  16. I picked every game of the tournament based on this data. It resulted in me missing out on some of the early round upsets, but I am set up very well from here on out. People that picked teams like UK to got to the Final Four would have benefitted from looking at this information.
  17. As Scott's attorney, I am encouraging him to
  18. I take it the coach has a son or two on the team? Regardless, that's ridiculous.
  19. I'm legit sick and stayed home from work today. Thought to myself that there are worse days to be out sick than Opening Day. Plant myself in front of TV and watch baseball. Then I find out that the 1 o'clock games are rained out. What a cruel joke.
  20. 12 today. A lot of Reds flavor in the grid. 5 players and a manager.
