  1. Put me down for someone that wants to see TySteve play another position in 2023. Natural fit for sharing first base and DH with Votto. I mean a dude capable of consistently hitting .320 belongs in a lineup full time at any position. And. while not a traditional power hitter, he does have good gap power. those doubles are a valuable weapon just as a HR is.
  2. Bo knows generosity and kindness https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/22/us/bo-jackson-uvalde-funeral-expenses/index.html
  3. Their damn luck it was just money and not bumper stickers or charity calendars.
  4. Don't rent a car from Hertz. Several stories in the link. I copied one below. But, the main story is at the end and involves an Indiana man. It's several paragraphs, so I did not copy and paste.. Pretty scary stuff. https://www.wthr.com/article/news/investigations/13-investigates/hertz-accused-of-ruining-innocent-lives-by-filing-false-stolen-car-reports-against-customers-13-investigates-rental-agreement-price-arrest-attorney/531-d1cc68f1-5f20-473c-939e-c612034e33d1
  5. My 16 year old daughter is a huge fan of Law & Order SVU. She has been pestering us to visit NYC during the time of year they are filming the show. Wonder if this will change her mind.
  6. Understood. What bothers me is they think highly enough of the Fed Ex Cup to hang around this year, but not enough to be part of it next year. What's more important. The prestige of the Fed Ex Cup or the money? Sounds as if they want their cake and eat it too. Pick one.
  7. I read this 10 seconds before Stanton went deep.
  8. The timing of that bothers me a bit. Winning the FedEx Cup is obviously important to those guys, or they would go ahead and leave now. The FedEx Cup is the PGA playoff, not the LIV.
  9. Not liking the 'standard' uniforms at all.
  10. Matsuyama is a blow, but not surprising, Especially if the Asian tour thing plays out as outlined above. That said, I get the feeling that he's already peaked as far as career goes. I know he's still young, but he doesn't look like the same player he was a couple of years ago.
  11. I think it's safe to say that professional golf as we've known it is over. Honestly, about the only three names that would be surprising at this point would Rory, J. Thomas, and Tiger since they have publicly spoken in favor of the PGA. That said, they definitely seem to be making more inroads with the International players. In your estimation, how much of it is money and how much of it is being disenchanted with the PGA?
  12. Every player they wanted? Wouldnt that be everyone in the Top 50? That would include guys who have pledged allegiance to the PGA.
  13. Just coming to post this, though I saw 8 hits in 10 shots. They have confirmed none of the shots were self inflicted. Wow is all I can say if he was as far away as being reported. There has been a lot of misinformation, so i wonder if he was closer than initially thought.
  14. Did not see Schwarber losing to Pujols.
  15. I think schools are chosen more for maximum emotional impact than they are for being an easy target.
  16. Well, he's already had the Mayor, the police, and a U. S. Senator publicly thank him for his actions. I dont see the county pushing for prosecution for this one.
  17. The Greenwood Mall has signs up that prohibit firearms. I don't see the Good Samaritin in this case getting charged.
  18. What can the PGA possibly do to counter-act that type of money? It seems like if they don't take a hard stance, all of the big names would look for a piece of the LIV pie, and the PGA becomes something akin to the Korn Ferry Toiur. As it stands now, I can only imagine there would be a lot of hard feelings among the players if guys that did defect were also allowed to play in PGA events.
  19. What's so appealing to these shooters to be copycats. They're not making a statement. They are simply copying something that's been done over and over again.
  20. Information is still limited, but it sounds as if the Good Samaritan may have prevented a much larger tragedy. Sounds as if the gunman had a good-sized arsenal.
  21. 3 dead, 4 if you count the shooter. Even though we live in the far south of the state, my wife and daughter still like to go shopping up there a couple of times a year. What is wrong with the world?
  22. Still need 1 Champions League team and 2 HSN Football League teams to register. Let us know if you didn't get the invite.
  23. Huge par saving putt on 17 for Smith. Looks like Rory going to need a birdie on 17. Have to assume both will get birdie on 18.
  24. The Cam's were feeling the pressure Scheffler missed some makeable putts. DJ Had a couple of bad holes. Rory was simply mistake free all day. Havland had one late bogey.
