  1. Louisville this morning. Just starting my day at work in Louisville when a co-worker mentioned the police were starting to block streets downtown. Went down to the scene to investigate and while the police wouldn't share a lot of details, I heard enough to know I didn't want to be downtown today. So, I left the office and decided to work from home the rest of the day. Anyway, turns out there seems to have been some sort of explosive device under a bus stop 5 cylinders with protruding wires were recovered by a robot. After the robot placed them in a blast proof container, the containers were inspected by guys in Hazmat suits. FBI has taken over the investigation, Hearing that soon after I left, many office buildings in the were put on shelter in place. Glad I got out while a could. https://www.wdrb.com/news/investigation-of-suspicious-package-in-downtown-louisville-blocks-streets-during-morning-rush/article_36db531a-1a3b-11ed-b1e2-6769a163c300.html
  2. Could not disagree more. Votto deserves to be a Red (at a reduced rate) when they are contenders again. If in no other capacity than as a part time and/or platoon DH. The man is an organizational treasure.
  3. You get two sticks and you stir it in both directions.
  4. If I'm back-end of first round, I prefer it to be 11 or 12. With 9 or 10, it often seems like the 2nd guy i want is gone. This, year, I really, really like the options that should be available in the 3 spots surrounding the round 2/3 wheel. So, I'm hoping I get top 3 pick in at least 1 of the HSN leagues. Had 7 and 9 last year. Did not like either one.
  5. Trent Green.....Kurt Warner The injured QB thing played out well for the Rams before.
  6. 2 players should be redshirted. It's not efficient to have a half-dozen players averaging less than 10 minutes a game.
  7. I cant stand Coors Light. Way down on the list of things I would drink.
  8. So, a lot of the preseason prognosticators seem to have IU on the top line of their conference predictions. Maybe I'm overly skeptical based on recent performance, but I'm having a hard time buying into that. What does everyone else think?
  9. Justin Jefferson is the best WR. If he had Aaron Rodgers throwing to him the last two years, his numbers would be staggering.
  10. That is a hell-of a strikeout to walk ratio........for a pitcher.
  11. Maybe without all those innings, Ryan could have pitched longer instead of having his career cut short at age 46.
  12. I could be totally wrong, but I just see the LIV approach being a tough sell to the average golf fan. And, if the average golf fans are not watching it on tv, how sustainable is it. That said, I'm all about free enterprise. But, suing an organization you left on your own accord in an effort to force them to allow you to come back on a part-time basis on your terms? I just cant get my head wrapped around that piece of this story.
  13. Only thing better than that is if it would have been 17-5.
  14. Colts need a 3rd skill position weapon after Taylor and Pittman. It's not going to be at TE, so by default it has to be WR, unless they expand Hines' role beyond that of a 3rd down back. In the end, Pierce has a lot to prove in order to be considered in the top half of the WR2 pool.
  15. Yanks will be fine in regular season, but they wont get past the Astros, let alone the Dodgers, come October.
  16. "Money he shall have. A sense of accomplishment when he plays the final 18 of his career, I think not." I think Yoda said that.
  17. Damn right I'm old. Get the hell off my lawn!
  18. I will say this about that picture as well. Those old style scoreboards are a hell of a lot more cool than the Jumbotrons we have today.
  19. LOL. I freaked out because my reply to your post was now reflected as happening before your actual post. Thought I was in a time warp.
  20. I never made it to Crosley. My first game was at Riverfront in '72. But, I do have vivid memories of the Hudepohl vendors making their way through the crowd.
  21. Left field at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. There was a slope that alerted outfielders they were approaching the wall instead of a warning track.
  22. None that I'm aware of. If it's one person's opinion, I question whether he/she has been to every campus. I guess it could be based on some internet poll.
