  1. Nashville would likely take some fans from Cincy, so I'm not wild about that idea.
  2. I've already completed one Fantasy Baseball Draft and have Imanaga on my pitching staff (as my 6th starter). What spot in the rotation do you see him filling for the Cubs? Steele, obviously is #1, but how do you see Imanaga, Hendricks, and Taillon getting positioned?
  3. Anyone that still thought we had a shot with this one is living in an alternative universe.
  4. The wife and I spent a day on Grand Cayman as a port stop on our honeymoon cruise (2003). Didn't see or do a lot due to the time and transportation restrictions. Our main activity was taking a boat out to a sandbar a couple of miles offshore and swimming with the sting-rays. Very cool thing to do if you're into that sort of activity. In addition, we did some shopping in town, but I don't remember a whole lot about that other than the town was clean and had a lot of shopping options in the area where we were at.
  5. They rotate it. I much prefer Charlestown. Probably my favorite 'new' gym. Madison is great as well, but not centrally located.
  6. Regarding your Buhner error, I was working my way through the 30# homer column, got Vaughn and Ludwick, and then proceeded to think of players that hit 30+ for the PADRES. So, my brain is thinking Nate Colbert, Winfield, Camanitti, Soto, Machado, etc., and I'm all set to go with Colbert and the light finally goes off that the box is for Mariners 30+, not Padres.
  7. @IU Scott. Adding to what @IUFLA is saying, you'll notice that virtually every time I use a pre 1960's player, it's a Hall of Famer. If not, it's a player a remember from a specific story I read about as a kid (1919 White Sox for instance). I'm not going to be pulling backup infielders from the 1912 Braves out of my butt. Another tool I use is I think about former Reds players even in non-Reds categories. On today's grid, Ryan Ludwick came to mind using that tool. David Bell came to mind because he's the Reds manager. And, Bret Boone because of the Boone family ties to the Reds. Sixto Lezcano came to mind because, while playing for the Padres, the Padres, I saw him hit a home run to dead center in Riverfront while I was there for a game.
  8. If you ever watched Field of Dreams, and you recall the scene near the end where James Earle Jones' character is watching the game with a book in his hand, that book is The Baseball Encyclopedia. I had that book. I spent many summer days as a youth studying that book.
  9. 18 today. Love it when I get the Reds on the grid.
  10. Sorry @IUFLA, wasn't really in the mood to do one today. But, I did find this cool. Jesse Chavez, the most traded player in MLB history was asked to recite his teams in order. Good source for future Grid answers.
  11. All you need to know as to why I did not watch the All-Star game.
  12. @IUFLA It appears that we both thought of the great Tuffy Rhodes. Forever remembered for one great opening day.
  13. Getting quality out of the portal is going to be tough. The system and the style we played this year would be a very difficult sell.
  14. Appears we will likely see you guys again in the sectional semi-finals.
  15. Continue watching or put my head in the oven? It's a closer call than you would think.
  16. IU had an upcoming schedule that could have allowed the to get on a little roll. They are going to waste it by losing the first game of that stretch, I'm extremely afraid that, even with NIL, we are not going to be able to get what we need from the portal. Sure, we might get someone that is just looking for the most money, but those guys aren't usually winners. A winning player is going to take a little less elsewhere to have a chance to win.
  17. I'm an extremely slow typist. You guys must really suck at it.
  18. The announcer just referenced the 'hump'.
  19. Mgbako's effort on that over and back. Just smh.
  20. They were booing the calls.
