  1. Love Hummel. He's the best IMO. Bardo is okay. He's like that friend you dont invite to the party, but dont mind hanging around otherwise. I would be okay if Walton never announced another College basketball game Bill Raftery is a fave of mine.
  2. Probably should have already been considered hot, even before the season. He's definitely not Stevens or Holtmann.
  3. Tamar and Kopp would not be here either.
  4. For me there is Christmas music, and then there is Burl Ives singing Christmas music. Has a musician ever been a more perfect fit for a genre?
  5. Dogs are not particularly popular with one segment of the population in India. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/group-of-monkeys-kill-over-250-dogs-for-revenge-in-indian-town/ar-AARVuGV?ocid=uxbndlbing These are revenge killings in retaliation for a dog killing an infant monkey. The monkeys are dragging the dogs up to the top of buildings and throwing them off. Fascinating story.
  6. The ESPN league I am in runs playoffs weeks 16-18. So, this week is our last regular season matchup. I'm currently 11-3 and in line for the #1 seed. My opponent this week is 10-4. We are currently separated by like 5 total points if the tie-breaker is used. So, basically, the winner this week will be the #1 seed. Neither of us had anyone play in last night's game. I hate that it might come down to Covid availability.
  7. This is so difficult, because your post is spot on. When we were growing up (pre turn of century), there was zero risk of that weapon being used to shoot up a school. The world is different now, and regardless of the reasons, it is important to adapt. A farmer absolutely has the right to have a gun to protect livestock. However, if that farmer has a troubled teenager, it is important to recognize that the teen's access to the gun should be restricted.
  8. The Chinese manipulate us only because we allow it to happen. We need to look inward, not outward, at solutions for the issues before us. Parents have responsibility to teach their kids right from wrong. Yet, 90% of the time a juvenile commits a serious crime in this country, mom, dad, aunt, uncle are on the news pleading for forgiveness and talking about what a 'good boy' Jr. is. Parents know bad things come from media like Tik-Tok, yet they dont talk to their kids about responsible behavior when using social media. And, dont get me started on the irresponsible media, with virtually every outlet being agenda driven instead of simply reporting the news. Yet, we latch onto the bias that comes out of these outlets (noth ends of the political spectrum) and refuse to understand we are being manipulated. And, finally, as it specifically relates to this thread. A society that allows juveniles easy, unsupervised, access to any type of gun is broken. Again, that typically falls on parents.
  9. Okay. I re-read. In post #1, you clearly use the words 'results are same'. Losing to Fort Wayne is a result, not an 'indicator'. As far as Post #2, this site is a discussion forum. With 'discussion' comes 'debate'. Participation in such discussion/debate often results in someone else responding. Not exactly understanding why you are so upset with my response. But, I will try to remember that in the future and refrain from openly disagreeing with you.
  10. Have they? Where's the loss to Fort Wayne? Where's the sub 30 percent 3 point shooting? Where's lack of effort and accountability?
  11. Indicator #1: Mike Woodson vs. Archie Miller
  12. Since people might be editing picks due to Covid, the locked-in Thursday picks are as follows: Chiefs - 5fouls, Billingsley, Seeking 6, Ledies22, and KDB Chargers - Rico, IndyKev
  13. https://www.wane.com/college-sports/blackford-grad-brown-granted-waiver-by-ncaa-will-suit-up-soon-for-bsu/ And, when he scores 25 in his first game......
  14. Allen Robinson of Da Bears in Covid protocol. Preseason reaction = Today's reaction =
  15. Good news is the offseason should be shorter this season because we should make some sort of post-season tournament.
  16. The schedule disruption this season is going to be worse than it was last year. Better controls in place last season and more transmittable variants.
  17. Bottom line, and my general point, is that we should appreciate what a great college player TJD is, and not worry about whether he makes it at the next level or not.
  18. My original post was 'who would be more successful as a pro'. I specifically qualified that was not necessarily NBA. TJD is likely not going to make an NBA roster.
  19. Race can handle the ball and play a little bit on the perimeter. That's a significant advantage at the next level.
  20. I wonder if a school would go so far as to fire a coach that they were going to retain just to hire Urban.
  21. Friendly reminder to @ledies22and @KDB. Or, you can just not enter this week and give up the lead.
