  1. Friendly reminder to @ledies22and @KDB. Or, you can just not enter this week and give up the lead.
  2. I posed the question, because I obviously think the answer is Race. Does not diminish one bit how great of a college player Trayce is. I'm going to sound like IU Scott when I say this, but I would love to go back to a time where we celebrated guys more for how good they were in college versus being concerned about what they need to do to succeed at the next level.
  3. Urban will be back coaching college before you know it.
  4. In your mind, who is the better Pro prospect (notice I did not say NBA)? TJD or Race?
  5. We both have 'Bye' as our opponent this week. How about bragging rights to whichever one of us beats 'Bye' by more points. We can compete, even when we're not.
  6. @btownqbhit the nail on the head with why the I 'want' to keep playing. @dgambill has captured why I won't change my roster. I do not want to impact the playoff race. Even rthough I really, really don't want to play New Orleans 'D' this week. That said, I would still enjoy scoring as many points as possible, so I will start and sit guys already on my roster based on matchups. Thankfully, in one of my HSN leagues, I had picked up a 2nd defense last week before I was eliminated, so I do not have to start the Chargers against the Chiefs. I already have the Bills to slide into the starting position. But, the whole concept of stop trying to compete is what ruins fantasy football to begin with. People with that mentality often stop completing during the regular season, and thus gifting victories to those that play them late in the season. That can impact standings and playoff spots much more than someone who continues to play after being eliminated. I would much rather have a league full of people that competed until the bitter end as opposed to having even one or two that quit during the regular season.
  7. If I was actually going up against an opponent in some sort of 'consolation bracket, I probably would. But, it appears I'm up against 'Bye' for the duration of the season. In that case, I don't want to potentially influence the playoff race.
  8. Oh, I'm going to outscore my opponent this week, and for the next couple of weeks as well. Of that, I have no doubt. See below. My concern is that if I continue to be active on waivers, I could take away a player that a playoff team wanted/needed. Or, on the flip side, if I drop someone in order to activate a player from IR just to maximize my points against a 'Bye', I've added a player back to the pool that could be a league winner for someone else if the right injury occurs.
  9. That's bad officiating. All officials know not to call any fouls on Wisky in Madison. Whoever called those 2 should be reprimanded.
  10. You know what's really hard? Looking at my teams and realizing my defense this week in one of my leagues is New Orleans (against Tampa Bay). The competitor in me really, really, wants to go to the waiver wire and grab a new one so I get the best score possible even though I'm eliminated, but that's not fair to those of you in the playoffs. And, I have Myles Gaskin likely coming off the Covid list in both leagues, and I would love to put him in my lineup for his game against the Jets. But, in one of the leagues, he's on IR and I would have to drop someone to free up the roster spot. That doesn't seem like the right thing to do either.
  11. From my injury riddled HSN team Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee) DNP Wednesday Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee) did not practice Wednesday. Advice: Mitchell entered concussion protocol after Week 13 and did not practice at all last week. In his absence, Jeff Wilson rushed 13 times for 56 yards versus the Bengals. Wilson didn't see a target. JaMycal Hasty took over work on passing downs and saw three targets but no carries. Wilson would be a middling-RB3 option if Mitchell is forced out of the lineup again this week. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 2:46 pm
  12. Thanks for the heads up. Then again, I'm not in the playoffs. Thanks for rubbing it in %$^& %$%% it.

  14. Hell. Brady is closer to Flacco than he is Rodgers. QB Rating in Playoffs (Career) Antwaan Randle El - 121.5 Aaron Rodgers - 100.5 Drew Brees - 97.1 Tom Brady - 90.4 Joe Flacco - 88.6 Eli Manning - 87.4 Peyton Manning - 87.4
  15. My opinion has changed. Joe Flacco is the GOAT. Won every Super Bowl he played in.

  17. We have a race folks. @KDBhas caught @ledies22at the top of the heap (this is despite KDB not playing Week 1). As far as the weekly prize goes, @Seeking6pretty much bludgeoned us all, just missing a perfect week by missing the Dallas/Washington game.
  18. WTF? If you had not picked, WFT, you were perfect.
  19. I have not forgotten. Been in the car since I got off work. Will get standings and spreads out later tonight.
  20. Irish seem to be out of favor. 0-2 against other Catholic schools.
  21. Well, nothing replaces life's experiences. Carry on my wayward son.
  22. I think you are underestimating the Belichick factor. Yes, I know what happened last year. And, yes, Brady is the GOAT. But, it's reasonable to assume that Brady does not have 8 rings if not for Belichick. And, it's reasonable to assume guys like Manning, Rodgers, etc. would have more if coached by Belichick. That's really my point. Not trying to claim he is not the GOAT.
  23. Cornell University has shut down campus, including athletics, due to an Omicron outbreak on campus. Basketball season could be chaotic this winter.
  24. I dont think any of the young crowd gets your pun.
