  1. Throw your current one against the wall?
  2. Admittedly, I don't wear a mask if I'm sitting on the deck with my family. That said, images like this one of Dr. Fauci do not help in the effort to get everyone on board.
  3. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/23/americas/china-billion-vaccine-latin-america-coronavirus-intl/index.html China looking to profit from Corona.
  4. Social distancing should not be an issue.
  5. Well......He does have a Mask on while out in public.
  6. Gunshot wound to the head is Covid? Someone should lose their job on that one. I found this piece of the story to be very interesting She said of the 581 deaths on the spreadsheet, only 169 deaths are listed as COVID without any contributing factors.
  7. Well, the State of Indiana has been flirting with 1,000 new daily cases for the last couple of weeks. According to Worldometer, the state reported 996 new cases today. But, if you go by the Indiana Department of Health website, it was 1,011. Even though that number is not significantly higher than what we've been seeing, just adding that 4th digit to the number has a psychological effect.
  8. Dustin Johnson's last 3 rounds of golf. +8 +8 +7 He withdrew from this week's event after his +7 round.
  9. @Hoosierhoopster leaving Walmart earlier this week.
  10. The Fouls family vacationed in Northern Michigan, as well as the Upper Peninsula, last week. I will say this. I felt much more comfortable being out in public there than I do here in Southern Indiana. The numbers seem to bear that out when comparing the two states. Part of my comfort was that everyone was in masks. Mandatory mask wearing was already in place there and is not in place in Indiana until next Monday. The other thing was that people just seemed to better understand the concept of social distancing. We visited several tourist spots as well as restaurants, shops, etc. and, as simple as it sounds, people gave you space. Down here, people will still crawl up your back when waiting in line. I don't get it.
  11. The death by auto accidents surprises me as well. I thought for sure those would be way down.
  12. I can't imagine why. He already gets paid 3 times what the other mods do. Pictures of Crester, from what I understand. .
  13. Keet. Since you created the thread, you should be able to do that by editing the first post.
  14. Everyone lines up behind me and UK fans go last.
  15. Agreed, the liability against the manufacturer would be insane for causing 100,000 deaths, but, in my example which has the benefit of hindsight, it would not be a bad thing.
  16. I get that people worry about the side effects. but I look at it this way. Imagine for a second that the vaccine was available in February and somehow the entire U.S. population was vaccinated at that moment. The vaccine itself subsequently kills 100,000 people because of some unforeseen side effects.. Considering 140,000 people have already died from the disease, the vaccine would still have been a 'success', despite the toll it had. Anything that results in fewer people dying is a good thing. Correct?
  17. I would definitely say yes, and quite frankly do not understand why someone would say no.
  18. I may be in the minority, but when hundreds of thousands of people are dying because of something, I'm okay with fast-tracking a vaccine. If it causes me to grow a third nipple in a couple of years (or in the case of @bluegrassIU, a 4th nipple), I'll still sign up for the vaccine and live with the consequences. All that said, now that you mention it,. I might head down to WalMart, buy some bleach, and give that a try.
  19. My comment was tongue in cheek. That said, If Marion County can report a death that actually happened the day before (and they did today), then Clark County should be able to do so as well. If I was into conspiracies, then I could speculate that the person in Clark County was not tested until AFTER they died, while the person in Marion County was tested before they died. In other words, the person in Marion County may have been in the hospital, clearly as a Covid patient, was tested, found to have Covid, and died a few days later. Clear cut Covid death. Meanwhile, if I was into conspiracies, the person in Clark County may have died without ever being tested for Covvid. Heck maybe they were asymptomatic and that nasty little motorcycle wreck contributed a little bit to their death as well. However,, Covid was tested for in the autopsy and subsequently found. Again, if I was into conspiracies, I might write one that way.
  20. The state/county/hospital decided yesterday that a Clark County resident who died on July 12th must have had Covid.
  21. Why hasn't the media in the U.S. picked up on this yet? Should be the lead story for every national media outlet.
  22. The Commonwealth of Kentucky reported 977 cases yesterday and only 253 today. Numbers that far apart in a 24 hour period are hard to accept as reality. One or the other is off for whatever reason.
  23. The Indiana High School Athletic Association is allowing kids that choose Virtual Schooling to participate in sports. Does anyone besides me see the hypocrisy in that? If the parent feels the school environment itself poses too much of a risk, then how in the world can they justify allowing their child to play sports, which is even a greater risk than simply attending school. Seems to me that people that go that route are trying to game the system.
  24. Personally, my kids gained nothing from the e-learning experience the last quarter during last school year.
  25. To clarify, it's 2 deaths since May. There have been 44 total deaths related to Covid. A couple of nursing homes got hit hard in April. That' said, it's amazing the panic some are expressing on social media about schools opening.
