  1. I used to have a great list, but I've forgotten what was on it.
  2. Truth be told, those 20,000 for the whole country days were likely the result of lack of testing. The article I posted above that indicates 2 clinics in New York City showing over 60% with antibodies would indicate that, as high as teh numbers reported in New York were, the reality is they were likely quite a bit higher.
  3. Italy is now 13th place in number of cases by country.

  5. 68% of people tested in single clinic in Queens had coronavirus antibodies, data suggests From CNN's Jacqueline Howard New coronavirus antibody testing data suggests there to be large disparities among neighborhoods hit hardest by the pandemic across New York City, separated by race and class — but more research is needed to confirm the extent of the differences. Data from CityMD urgent care medical clinics show that more than 68% of people tested positive for antibodies at a clinic in the working-class neighborhood of Corona, Queens, and 56% tested positive at another clinic in Jackson Heights, Queens. Yet only 13% of people tested positive for antibodies at a clinic in Cobble Hill, a mostly white and wealthy neighborhood in Brooklyn. The data were first reported in The New York Times on Thursday and a spokesperson for CityMD confirmed to CNN in an email on Friday that "it's accurate." Even though the majority of people tested in those clinics had antibodies, that data do not reflect how many people in the neighborhoods themselves may have antibodies — because some patients in the clinics may not live in the neighborhoods where the clinics are located. Overall, nationwide data has been clear that Black and Brown communities across the United States have experienced higher rates of hospitalization or death from Covid-19 than White communities. As of June 12, hospitalization rates among Black and American Indian or Alaska Native people were about five times that of White people, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Hispanic or Latino people have a rate about four times that of White people.
  6. You can't completely throw away the low death either. If we get to the point that this virus is not killing people, then you absolutely have to get things back to as close to 'normal' as possible. The economy, schools, etc. don't shut down for the flu. It kills people, maybe not in the quantity that Covid is right now, but if deaths drop to a flu-like level, why would we treat Covid any differently?
  7. Nice story on Kooper Jacobi. And, there is some direct references to Kaufman that support what @hoosierfan34says above. https://www.newsandtribune.com/sports/boys-basketball-jacobi-ready-for-senior-season/article_9cd66f4c-c0a6-11ea-b148-9f5b590e7446.html
  8. Based on the timing of everything, Jimmie Johnson was not infected for the 14 days we keep hearing about. He passed a Covid test in order to race at Pocono. Seven days later (presumably), he fails a test and has to sit out at Indy. And, now, in the course of 4-5 days after that he passes not one, but two tests, So, in less than 14 days, he's tested at least 4 times. Passed 3, failed 1. Either one or more of the tests is not accurate, or he kicked this virus's butt in just a handful of days. Certainly did not take him 14 days if, in fact, he actually had the virus.
  9. This begs the question. If someone like Isaac Haas gave you a pair of Purdue shorts, would you wear them? If not, what would you do with them?
  10. Who gets Jimmie Johnson for the next couple of weeks?
  11. Shame on any parents that named a newborn Alexa in the last couple of years.
  12. Ryder Cup postponed until 2021. Sigh. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/29425201/source-ryder-cup-postponed-2021-presidents-cup-pushed-back
  13. The number of cases for today is partially due to underreporting over the holiday weekend. Tomorrow will give us a more accurate picture.
  14. Imagine getting to say that 9 times each year.
  15. I have not tried their frozen pizza, but the Home Run Inn pizza I had at Midway airport in Chicago is easily the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Will never eat there again.
  16. I like Tombstone. I cook it about 10 minutes longer than the direction suggest to burn the cheese. My family refuses to eat one that I cook.
  17. Used to love Pizza King. But, the one in New Albany went from our favorite to we wont go there any more bad. There is a place called Topp't in New Albany that we really like.
  18. I don't imagine that the dealer will tell that story to any prospective buyers.
  19. My kids are still in high school, but I'm concerned for them. High school was the best time of my life. Will they be able to have the same types of experiences? What type of economy will we have 5 years from now? Will college campuses ever get back to 'normal'?' I don't want my kids to have an online education.
  20. As a reminder, numbers on Tuesday are almost always the highest of the week, as counties/states that do not report over the weekend catch up on their reporting. And, with this past weekend being a holiday, expect the daily number inflation to be even bigger than normal. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday numbers are usually the best barometer of where we stand.
  21. If this lingers much longer, it could impact the quality of life of today's generation for the rest of their lives. Missed opportunities Socio-Economic hardships Memories that should be there, but aren't It sucks.
  22. One 'silver lining' in the death rate is that other states started high, but it started to go down after the most susceptible passed away.
  23. Before some eager beaver in the media tries to point to the huge spike of new cases in Kentucky today, please note that the state did not report anything on either day of the holiday weekend. Today's number is 3 days' worth.
  24. Hate Chicago Style Pizza Prefer thin & Crispy, but can eat thicker crusts as well. Hawaiian Pizza is my favorite. Ham and Pineapple are a perfect match.
  25. From personal experience, I would not recommend that to anyone. The things they did to me.....
