So now we should not only miss when they can advance, we should aggressively go for the rebound and possibly foul, giving them two free throws for the win? Right, but it doesn't have to come cleanly, the clock doesn't start until it's touched. We got beat on a tough shot, I'd much rather that than get beat on two free throws or on a layup. They were off from outside today but still hung in there in a tough environment against a good team. Did not follow the program by letting Clark get hers and shutting down everyone else. We had a girl standing guarding air 5 feet from the basket. A 3 is the only way we lose…and there was only one person that was taking that shot. You either double her or guard the inbounds pass so it isn’t an easy pass with her curling for the 3. Make her have to catch it going away from the basket.
