Parakeet Jones Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 I went with TJD, but would understand a vote for JHS. Killer games for X and Galloway deserve mention. 2 Quote
bluegrassIU Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Have to go with TJD, but man X is such a good guard these days. 1 Quote
JaybobHoosier Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Going with TJD, but X and Trey were awesome all game. JHS was good for most of the game, but the first 3 killed it tonight. Everyone played well IMO, even Kopp and Race. No one could stop Nance when he was going. Quote
94hoosier Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Johnson Galloway and JHS all should get it Quote
IU Scott Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Probably could have had 4 guys win. JHS got us off to a good start. Galloway helped expand the lead in the first half. XJ played great I ended up giving it to TJD 1 Quote
bluegrassIU Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Also honorable mention to my uber driver for getting me back safe and sound. 5 Quote

5fouls Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 We don't win that game without Galloway. I'm actually shocked he's not dominating this vote. 2 Quote

Between2Halls Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Very difficult decision for me. I am not gonna fuss with any of four. But I picked Galloway. Coming back from injury. Coming off a recent less than best performance. He made the difference so many times. 1 Quote
Hoosier4Life53 Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 This was a close one between TJD and X, but I had to go with TJD. JHS and Galloway were really good too, and team defense was outstanding! Quote
DWB Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 I wanted to vote for X because he had a great game and played good D But I went with TJD not so much because of his stats, but because of his "calming influence" for the team when NC went on a run to get back in it. His mentality, consistency, and leadership for this team is almost immeasureable. Quote
NCHoosier32 Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 TJD, but X and JHS were huge and Galloway would easily get the surprise performance/playing above his normal level that many people view as MVP. Quote

For the record, I did not vote for Galloway because he 'played above his normal level'. I voted for Galloway because he did all of the little things we needed someone to do in this game to pull it out. Plus, he had some huge defensive plays, big rebounds, and timely buckets. IU needed this performance from Trey Galloway tonight, and that's the true definition of 'valuable'. 4 Quote
Reacher Posted December 1, 2022 Author Report Posted December 1, 2022 Tight vote... JHS 4 turnovers kept him from the top tier of X, Trey and TJD IMO. I went with Trey as I value efficiency. He was the spark. Contributed all over the court. Had 2 assists and a steal. No turnovers. D on Love was big. He imposed his will on the game. We weren't going to lose with him out there and that carried over to the rest of the team. TJD was my 1A. 4 assists! Outplayed Bacot handily. So proud of X and his maturity. Played like a senior point guard. Didn't take over the game but was steady throughout running the O and being a pest on D. 1 Quote
IUFLA Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 (edited) I went with Trayce because when we needed a basket, he got it. When we needed a board, he got it. When we needed a defensive stop, he got it. He's already on my "All Time Favorite Hoosiers" list, and rising fast...Great player, great leader, great kid... Edited December 1, 2022 by IUFLA 1 Quote
HoosierMama Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 I went with Trayce -- he did a little bit of everything tonight and most importantly got buckets when we needed them. I can't argue with anyone who picked JHS, X or Trey though. This was a team win and I loved it!! 2 Quote
DWB Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Maybe the MVP should go to Kenya...he did the scout. Quote
NotIThatLives Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Lots of guys made some great and key plays but that game would have been a lot closer without Trayce and therefore he was most valuable to me. Quote
