Love Bilas on GameDay right now. Advocating for 4 quarters, advance ball at the end of the game, and most importantly extending the secondary defender charge to not being legal all the way back to the offensive players gather (right now it's when the offensive player leaves the floor).

All would be great changes.

I think I'd prefer one step over gather, but either way that would be a great fix on help defenders taking charges.

Not to mention how dangerous that is.

Yup, there was a play at either Mich or NW, can't remember which one, but Race Thompson got the ball at the foul line with a pretty open lane. As Race went towards the basket and left the ground, an opposing player not only slid under him but also flopped and began falling to the ground without any contact being made. Race basically had nowhere to land and sort of fell on top of the defender.

Luckily the ref called it block, as it should be, but it was an extremely dangerous play that could have gotten either/both players injured.

That's a play that really should get a flopping tech on top or the blocking call.
