  1. And if Mr. Dolson feels that is an acceptable level of performance then the mighty IU has greatly fallen. I would be disappointed and feel the only way the program would stand a chance going forward would be to clean house starting at the admin level.
  2. Nah. If Woodsons fate depends on the last three remaining games then he wasn’t really in any jeopardy of being canned to begin with. Dolson is no dummy. The negative effects would kill the program the minute we started losing games. Woodson is out.
  3. You know that friend that always went the cheap route even though you tried to explain that in the end it was going to cost them more money and issues so just bite the bullet and get the right one to start with. If Pearl wanted to come here 20 years ago, IU was that friend.
  4. Yeah I notice some of the same things as you when watching them. It hasn’t happened yet but it seems like the type of players that IU could get with the historic brand as lofty NIL could really catapult a coach that already gets more with less. Maybe not. A family member went to school with him. Grew up with him and says unless he has changed a ton, Dusty was always highly intelligent, driven and full of fire. And to not let his short stature and public demeanor trick you.
  5. FAU was nothing before May. He built it from ground up to a respectable team with a great outlook for the program as it stands now. They had only been to the NCAAT once (2002) before Mays arrival. There is a reason he is in the Ohio St conversation. At only 47 years old, landing at the right spot could set him up for long term success at the highest level.
  6. I like Dusty May. If he can build FAU into a competitive and respectful program then he should do well with the IU brand and resources. That said, if a more instantaneous approach is the goal, a coach like Pearl is the easy choice. His age is a concern for me though. With the transfer portal, a good staff can build a roster fairly quick.
  7. RMK’s will to win quote isn’t just about practice between games. It’s about preparation in its entirety. From the moment one season ends. The off season preparation will determine our foundation.
  8. Understandable position. But, my bet is Woodson is gone. He has to be. No way the program and recruiting can sustain the raging inferno throughout the off season and moving forward towards 24/25. He knows it’s coming. Everyone does. Reasons are obvious and have been beaten to death on multiple platforms.
  9. Just confirmed the evacuation was fire alarm. Also said with forecasted bad weather, the tornado plan on place was to evacuate everyone to Memorial Stadium where touchdowns are very rare
  10. I hear the Monroe county kite club was in attendance so who knows
  11. Several Family members there. Folks were sent to parking lot
  12. Cuban was in Bloomington and stayed at the Union this weekend. That’s a fact but other than that who knows.
  13. Very much so. This is a well assembled and well trained basketball team.
  14. Wanna see a good coach? Watch the women’s team spank Iowa right now. Watch the chemistry and continuity from our lady Hoosiers. Smart efficient offense and in your face defense. Pride heart and high energy. Win or lose this game you can be proud that these girls will leave it all on the floor. Tell me one IU men’s player that can shoot the rock like some of these ladies. Not a single one can do what these girls do in game. They are the face of Terry Morens character, attitude, energy and IQ. These ladies aren’t near as athletic as the men but much higher in fundamentals. Terrys ability to translate and connect with her team is obvious.
  15. Everyone can see how bad we are. Now, even Dickie V is chiming in. This may be old news as it was posted yesterday but I’m just now seeing it.
  16. He said he was embarrassed for this ball club or something to that effect after another flagrant was called on IU.
  17. I think its obvious timing could be an issue here. I do feel like Woodson knows his time is up as do the players. Queen as well likely had an idea which could have played a role in his decision. I think Calberts facial expression caught on camera was a sign that things had already started to happen on the back channels that he was completely aware of. Fischers comment on live broadcast was pretty telling I thought as well. DD speaking of the staff and players partying immediately after a home loss to me says they are all just going through the motions similar to when Sampson, Crean and Miller knew their fate before the season ended. Like i said yesterday, I think a change is on the way. Or, at the very least, the wheels of motion are well on their way. If not, then I would like to think that the athletic dept would have spoken up in an effort to control damage and redirect fan and media narratives to a more supportive position. Like Fred Glass did during the Crean era. If it were me, I would release Woodson. Enter Cheaney into the Interim role alongside Hulls and let these kids have some fun to close out the season. Especially for the seniors. Like we all said during the last few coaching changes, if IU makes a move, and with the dumpster fire we have now, it looks like a forced hand situation, IU has to get it right. I have no inside info on this. Purely conjecture supported by reading of tea leaves combined with a dash of hope and common sense.
