I watched their Gonzaga games - we can beat them. They're not going to frustrate us by slowing the game down. The Gonzaga games kind of reminded me of how Crean's uptempo teams struggled against those grind it out Wisconsin teams because of the contrast in style of play.

Lol I will play TJD 1 on 1 in the post happily against a guy that's the same size as him and just based on his block numbers, significantly less athletic.

This team has gotten it's fair share of bad breaks this year, but has also put itself in some tough positions. What they also proved to us, now that their backs are against the wall, is that they can play pretty damn well backed all the way into the corner. So yeah, maybe it sucks we are First Four. Maybe the travel really sucks. But we are playing teams that probably aren't as talented as us, definitely aren't the profile of a team that's going to light us up from three. The games over the next week are gong to be played in a phone booth - and I ain't betting against TJD in that matchup right now. TJD will probably be the best player on the court every game between now and Baylor. X very well may be the second best player on the floor in all of those games with the way he is playing. And I don't think we are getting B1G officials in any of these games, so that can't hurt anything.

I am not sure of the official times on Tuesday, but it'll be 30 minutes after the first game ends. So I'm guessing like 9:30-10.... And then yeah, fly straight to Oregon.

Their best player appears to be a 6'9 big who I wouldn't think is overly athletic (.3 BPG) and doesn't stretch the floor. I tend to like that. Other best player appears to be a 6'7 PG that isn't a great shooter, but seems to set up others well (over 6 APG).

This could be much worse. The travel absolutely sucks but we are the more talented team in our first two games and have a chip on our shoulder.

Part of the reason everyone had them in was because it was assumed they’d win their league. The committee had a contingency bracket in case that didn’t happen, I wouldn’t assume it was the same spot either way. They could easily have been a 10 if they won and a First Four if not.

I understand that, but we still didn’t cover them and left them wide open. There we’re absolutely questionable and even bad calls both ways, but we left their studs wide open in crunch time and they made shots. It’s a bummer and we had a phenomenal run in Indy, but that was far and away the most fair whistle we’ve gotten since at least the Purdue game.

Or we could have covered their shooters we left wide open in those minutes. Theres almost no way refs aren’t going to call something when two guys end up on the ground on a shot attempt. A no call wasn’t going to happen there.

I think a quad 3 loss puts Davidson behind us, but we shall see. Most brackets currently assume Davidson has an auto bid.

I think if Davidson loses to Richmond it is more likely Davidson ends up in Dayton.

I honestly really loved listening to Bilas down the stretch of that game - he seemed genuinely excited for the Va Tech kids even though it was against Duke.

Good for Va Tech - bad for Rat Face. He's had a very bad week and I, personally, love the send off he is getting from the ACC.

I honestly don't even know how much you can really do it in basketball with how skilled guys are. In some sports, like football, you can absolutely shift things with the rules but with basketball it's pretty tough.

Sometimes you just tip your hat to the other team. I know a lot on the board don't watch NBA ball, but we play an NBA style defense and the reason those who don't watch it a lot probably don't think the NBA plays defense is because of the high-level shot making. Good offense beats good defense in basketball.

If anyone is watching the Va Tech - Duke ACC Championship game.... I hope Gabe can be a little like Storm Murphy. Kid is just a gamer.
